w810i bluetooth headset pairing problem

i have the sony w810i and just bought the plantronics voyager 510 bluetooth headset and can't get the phone to see the headset.

went to connectivbity, bluetooth, new device, headset, - nothing works.
what am i doing wrong?

sorry guys- i figured it out.
it was about the headset, not the phone.
