Ditto, if they're sim-free, i'll probably have one

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
I may be interested in one to lol

Posted by joshiestevens
I sell P990i's and I cant see you sourcing them and selling them at that price with a proffit. They are just soo hot right now. Don't get drawn in by a wholesaler that has really cheap prices, so many 'mobile wholesaler's' are complete fraudsters, so beware.

But if you can, then wow, and good luck to you.

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
@ josh, I bought oen the other day for £275 new sim free...

I just want some for my family

Posted by Superluminova
Ok guys so far I have 8 possible buyers so I think i'll have to stop it at that, so no more orders yet.

I'll post first thing in the morning to let you guys know how things pan out.

Cheers

Barry

Posted by liverman666

Posted by Superluminova
yeah unless you wanna pay more

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
how many can u get also u give a discount for a bulk order (3-5 units)?

Posted by haynesycop
Does the internal branding mean no update via seus? Also does it come in a generic box or a vodafone branded one, cheers.

Posted by Superluminova
Ok guys It come in a generic box, no vodafone rubbish, also there is no vodafone branding,

just a vodafone start-up screen and internet accounts. Thats the only vodafone rubbish, as for the update service i really don't know??

Posted by Luke-the-magic-man
I checked my pm, but nothing here?

Posted by amnesia

Posted by SE-Naz
Sorry Im Out

Thanks for trying... but im worried when upgrading the firmware it may get more VODA Crap on it and I much prefer SIMFREE

Thanks anyway

Cheers
ENJOY

Posted by amnesia
lol you guys are 'out' before he even gets back with a reply.
If the phone has no physical branding and only a start up and shut down screen, what's the problem?
Give him a chance to get back to us.

Posted by Mike.P®
The problem is the phone has Vodafone branding, it makes no difference if it is just the startup & closedown screens and internet settings .. it's not something I want on my phone.
If Im paying £400 for something I would like it to be what I am looking for and not a compromise.

You may be happy with branding on your phone but I am not .. especially when I do not use Voda as my network.

As I said before, thanks to Super for trying.

Posted by amnesia
you make it seem that it'll have logos and everything slapped on it.

I for one do not mind if it has a vodafone start up screen because I do not switch the phone off and on regularly. As far as I understand, there is no other way of knowing that it came from vodafone except for the startup and shut down. I'm also 100% sure that you'll be able to flash it yourself later if the start up and shut down is such a problem.

As for the internet settings, he said he'd get back to us on that.

Relax.

Posted by J273
im interested if you can still get these?

Posted by Superluminova
Hi guys I've sold the five i got locally as a few guys offere me money i couldn't turn down, sorry for getting your hopes up.

Posted by Superluminova
I got £440 for one and the rest went for £380

Posted by Ridahz
Top notch! Hope you made profit

Posted by Superluminova
only £340 so not a great deal but more than enough for me

Posted by Ridahz
must work out like a free p990 for you tho great stuff though. Must be a nice phone. Will you be taking trades for one?

Posted by amnesia
I'm still interested in knowing if you can delete the voda settings.......

Posted by spine6

I second that, even if you can't if you could still update via seus i would be interested.

I went into cpw yesterday and saw the P990i. Under vodafones tariffs it had it listed as free with 800 minutes and 1000 txt messages for £30 per month. Maybe it was on an 18 month contract.

Now this seemed really odd to me and obviously to good to be true, could anybody confirm? Also i heard that cpw provide generic handsets aswell.

Posted by amnesia
I don't think so Copper.
I went in there and asked them and they said no.

Here's the web tarriffs

http://www.carphonewarehouse.[....]ree&COLOUR=SILVER&STOCK_BAND=1

says only way to get it free is on 18 month and at 50 a month.

Posted by haynesycop
Well that is what it said on the card next to the dummy yesterday, i went back in twice to double check it. Maybe it was a misprint but i will be going into town tomorrow so i will get a picture of it because i am not lying, i swear that is what it said.
