Been wanting to ask this for a while now.
In the winter vacation (December) I'm planning on going to Japan for a around 8-10 days.
It'll cost around 100 pounds for 10 nights and it's IN Tokyo. Specifically Asakusa. The best thing about it is that it's literally a few mins from anywhere in Tokyo. This is at a place that my girlfriend knows. I've stayed there before and it's great.
Is anybody interested in going? If so, it will be nice since we'll be able to go as a group.
I might be going with 1 or 2 friends, but life has taught me that nobody is reliable.

Yup, it's a nice place specially with those hi-tech gadgets and Jap cars . . . Bon Voyage ! Will that be a Christmas Trip?

Well either to meet there on the same day or go together.
but as I mentioned, hi-tech gadgets and 'Jap cars' is a stereotype. You don't see that. Plus in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, do you notice the lights in the beginning? They filmed it in Christmas, so it was extra 'lighty'.
It'll be in December but not for Christmas. I go to Bahrain and Qatar for Christmas.

@amne - Yeah . . . and I've made notice of those Christmas Lights in the Tokyo Drift flick mate . . . how I wish I can come . . . so, you are back in your hometown for the Holidays? With your family? Do you celebrate New Year's Day to in the Middle East . . . I mean having all those 'grand' fireworks display?

We don't have big festivities, but yes we celebrate New Years.
The Islamic New years though is a different date.
We also celebrate Christmas. In the Middle East, areas and malls are decorated with traditional Christmas stuff. It's the idea of Christmas that's celebrated of course and not the religious aspect.
I go back during the Christmas period because I usually put up the tree at home, I've not missed a Christmas and new year's so far.
I guess if I do go to Japan, it'll probably be between 1st and 20th of December.
