You dont need 3 to unlock it .. any independent phone unlocker should be able to do a V3X for far less than 3 charge.

I've heard the only way to unlock these is through a nice little drill into a part of the circuit board and that unlocks it...

yeah 3 can do it but it will be cheaper do go down the market or something to get it unlocked, tried in my local market said they couldn't do it there and said that they would take it unlock it and send it back but i can't be too sure i would get it back

there is a guy on esato that does it for free, all you have to do is pay for the postage both ways, anyone know who he is , did know and looked at the thread that he made but can't find him at the moment. Anyone Know?

Market wont do it as its not as simple as the Nokias, Sony Ericssons or Samsungs. It actually need a little bit of skill
