Yep,i kill the Music Player using Handy Taskman. With heavy useage it can last a full day. I thought it could record videos at VGA only to find it does QVGA, or have i missed something?
Posted by BobaFett
how is the scrren compared to other nokias?
Posted by GUCCI.011
@ Boba
Screen is VERY colourful and bright, its so bright that mine is set to 50%, its a great high quality screen, although its not as smooth as E60,70 ,N80 or N90 high res. screens. Its a lot more colourful than them.
Posted by BobaFett
sitting here with some fones, have to upgrade them, also n95 8gb, needs another language etc i played with it a bit, not that bad actually, feels better then n95.
Posted by GUCCI.011
Thats great
Posted by BobaFett
oh, i just put the language and maps on it, not much interest from me to n95 8gb. feels and looks good, but i am more for the e series.
Posted by sapporobaby
I would not recommend the E65. I did not like it. The N81 is much better in my opinion.
Posted by BobaFett
i amalso not a big fan of slider fones. maybe it would have fit better the ne series, for a biz fone i can hardly imagine to take a slider one.
Posted by sapporobaby
The slider does not bother me but the E65 simply did not impress me. I do like the N81 combined with the Nokia LD-4W (GPS receiver) is a super great combination.
Posted by GUCCI.011
Totaly with Sapporo, this is a lot better than a E65. . . .well atleast Multimedia and Look wise, also a lot faster. I just can't get over the sound quality with headphones (Walkman earplugs),apparently its got the same DSP as the N91.
Posted by sapporobaby
If you love your N81, put your hands in the air and wave um like you just don't care.
Posted by Miss UK
E65 is a proper phone not a xmas tree
people don't like it cos it lags stuff however its a real phone,
not a gimmick like everything else
Posted by sapporobaby
Oh Ms. UK. Totally uncalled for.
How you doing love? How long does it take your E65 to boot? Can you put on a cuppa, make toast, waffles?
Nokia love all around hon.
Posted by GUCCI.011
@ Sapporo
*Puts hands in the air and waves them like i jus don't care* LOL
@ Miss.UK
Im sorry if what i said has offended you but this is the truth. N81 is not a gimmick, its a seriously fast and well built phone, with a boot up time slightly faster than N95 or N95-8GB,this is WAY beyond E65 teritory.

still dont get, why nokia didnt put a better and more durable screen protector on n95 and on the n95 8gb. imo its way too easy to scratch or damage it... i hate any kind of fone cases, i would be so afarid to scratch it

I have an N95 arriving tomorrow, yeah, i know i'm late joining the party, but better late than never eh!!

I think I can do all that whilst waiting for my N80 to warm up

it's the be's knees's in the Christmas tree topping
What I don't get with the N80 and N81 is the cameras..
is nokia trying to cut costs here

Nah,with the success of the Nseries devices i doubt they will kill it anytime soon, maybe in another 3years, who knows.
Posted by Dogmann
Hi all,
Although personally i think the N series has a long live span ahead of it who really knows if Touchscreens really are the future as being predicted by some some and Nokia create a whole new series of devices for them. We may see the need of both the N and E series devcies vanish where as if they incorporate the Touch UI into both the N and E series they will continue, only time will tell what actually happens but i don't see Nokia combining N and E series devcies into one segment any time soon well not IMO.

Rumours update from our very own Mole, well badger anyway
Posted by QVGA
I think they should kill the E series. I dont really see the point to them. Everything they offer(which is very small in amount) can easily be put into N series. And E series have been a failure to say the least. Businessmen either carry imates or blackberrys.
Posted by procterdc
Hey guys, i'm thinking about getting the N95 (not until april though) I've seen two versions...which should I get? The black 8gb (flash memory) or the other which can take up to 8gb in a card.
The one with the flash memory doesn't have the lens protector, whilst the other one does. Will it matter? What are your opinions?
Posted by BobaFett
the 8 gb is a better option for sure. bigger screen, more poweful battery and a bit better design.
Posted by GUCCI.011
@ QVGA
My Dad is a businessman and he prefers his E61 to his Blackberry Curve and HTC TyTN. Why shouldn't NOKIA challenge the HTCs, I-Mates, Blackberrys, and QTEKs? They are doing pretty well especialy with the E65, E61i and E90.
@ Proc
Id say get N95-8GB, bigger screen, A LOT MORE RAM, and already has 8GB, BUT if you dont mind 30mb of ram and want a lens cover then get a normal N95 (in Sand colour is a must!)
Posted by Dogmann
@QVGA
I also don't agree with your assumptions either have you not seen just how many E Series devcies Nokia now sells and these figures are rising not falling. The E series whilst running the same OS do have quite few differences to both the installed apps and also additional options for the Home Screen and i think Nokia are right to segment there devcies in this way and it seems to work for them.

Eventually both series maybe replaced but until that happens NOKIA will just keep re-inventing itself ! besides most E or N Series are phased out in a yr or so anyway whereas SE keep things out far to long!

@boba
It needs a bit of work, but Nokia will get is straight. Apple will have some comp though. Can't go into much detail but it might appear rather soon.
Posted by procterdc
Does the N95 8GB have integrated flash on it? I've heard that they did away with it???
Posted by Dogmann
@procterdc
They got rid of the lens cover not the flash.
