it does support sis files but u have 2 make sure u download the ones that are compatible with 3rd edition S60. Mine doesn't hang while using gprs, if I'm not mistaken mine still has the first firmware. what firmware does her N91 have?

Hi Shug,
can you PM me where you got Tom Tom 6 from as in the UK it is not due for release till 2nd October is the earliest i have seen. Glad to hear it is working on the N80 as even the Tom Tom site only mentions the E61 so it does appear to work on S60 3rd edition great news as it is my SatNav of choice.

imo in n73 i would miss the metal covers, didnt have such a quality since gh388... 2 things are very impressive in n73, the big screen and the 3g support, next to it the battery. that cam slider is a bit cheap design, 6680 and n70 was far better imo.

very weird indeed. my phone does nothing of the sort. i don't wanna sound like the profit of doom, but why does it sound like a virus? i think that if u had to upgrade the fw, u might just get it working right again, but then again I'm not sure. anyone else with advice?

Guys, my brother got a n73 recently, and i asked me if i knew if there is a way to use his PCīs internet conection via bluetooth...
I know in P990 and n73 its dead easy, using bluetooth PAN, but i donīt thing n73 has this...
Also, for older s60 (and UIQ) devices there was something called gnubox that allowed sharing the pc internet conection...
Is there any way for s60 v3 devices???
At mobile-review nokiaīs forum no one was able to answer this...

@milukicksass, the *#0000# thing is to check the firmware ver of the phone.
@ares, I,ve also noticed that my N91 can,t connect to net via BT, but I don't think it's the phone, but the type of BT dongle I've got. My previous BT dongle worked because it had completely different software. My old one could connect to the phone directly, allowing me to use dialup networking, But my new one first wants to check the services of the phone and that's where the problem comes in, S60 phones don't allow other devices to scan them. My first Bt dongle didn't have PAN, but the new one does so I think the connection methods differ. I hope I made sense here, lol.

But if you check n73 bt profiles, thereīs no mention to PAN support...i think only with a 3rd party app, like gnubox for older s60 phones, people will be able to use the pc internet connection
iīm a bit biased, but i think its a shame nokia doenīt put bt PAN on a recent "handeld computer" like they call them now...

@ares, you see the first BT dongle I had was Widcomm, the one I've got now is BlueSoleil, the first one didn't need to scan the phone for available services but the latter does. when using a widcomm dongle I can connect to the net using my N91 as a modem, but not the bluesoleil one as it first wants to scan my phone and therein lies the problem. see?

both the e50 and k800 screen "quality" is better then the n73 imo.. both displays are sharper and not as washed out compared to the n73.. but the n73 screen is nice and big one wouldn't know unless they compared it against the others

The latest information i got from my local Nokia service centre was it is expected towards the end of the month so any time soon is the answer. Although i am looking forward to it and the extra Ram on start up i must confess I'm not really that bothered as so far no i have not had any problems.

I haven't even seen an E50 but i must admit i do actually miss my N73 i really did think it was a great phone. The owner of the barber shop in the parade of shops below me has just got one so installed some themes and autolock for him. I really do like the feel of the phone and the keyboard but at the end of the day personal taste and prefrence decides whats right for some isn't for all. As a side note he was haveing a few problems and i discovered that useing the 3D effect was the problem via another forum so turned it off for him and all the problems went away.

ok ppl so now my n93 is beggining to be annoying. It is very hard to connect it to PC using the cable,many times it just recognises it and then it doesn't,some times doing this unrecognise-recognise stuff very fast and my phone restarts.Now for the second part,if i manage to connect it then after transfering something onto it,i remove it from windows but immediatly after i do that the phone just crashes and i need to remove the battery.When will the goddamn sw update be available?

I really can't understand why you are having these problems as i am now running both the Nokia PC Suite for my N93 and the SE PC Suite for my M600i both without any conflicts or problems. But i must admit i am running both over bluetooth, i know you like to add 3rd party apps and can only think one of these may be causing the problem and can't really see how the firmware update is going to help resolve your issues. Just what 3rd party apps to do you have installed?

PLEASE HELP!!! N71 user!!!
I got a new memory card today, but i cannot seem to able to install any themes into my phone after i put it in. It says file not supported, but with the previous card, it got installed anyways and worked perfectly. Now after the installation progress, it says unable to install.

@QVGA well damn it,it seems that you have a stupid error like i do (with the Adobe PDF and all).Did you try restoring the phone to factory setting? Also did you try installing something with the card taken out(on the internal memory)? Last did you try formatting the card? If none of the above work then you remain with the option of fully formatting the phone.

@QVGA well first try to backup the card on the pc and then format it (using the phone).If it still doesn't work then press the following when the phone is turned off (preferably without sim or card inside): 3 and * and Green Pick-up call while pressing the Turn On button,it may take a while before it starts and it should say on screen: Formatting (or something like that). This should format the phone (actually taking all the software from the ROM inside the phone.Hope this helps.Keep us up to date/
