Feels and looks cheap, a bit too tight fitting, no cut-away for key lock key and small plastic band below the screen makes it difficult to use the top row of keys on the keyboard

The key lock can be activated by pressing two buttons on the keypad, but this function is not available in mediaplayer. I will go with JAH and buy a noreve.

My Piel Frama case is on its way. I have seen them in the past and the quality is outstanding.

The leather on the sides of the P990 do not interfere with typing on the keyboard

this case may not offer much protection for my phone, but i chose this golla case because it has an extra pocket where i can keep my headset.

The crystal hardcase is out and price is about €6 here in Singapore.

Hi Vicoyski,

unfortunately, they don't sell it online. If you check out xtemujin's previous link to secentral, you will see that I had posted these pics there too My local vendor promises delivery of yesterday, but somehow I was being informed it was delayed and will only arrive earliest next Tue. One thing that this leather case is letting down, is that it does not come with belt clip...

Noreve case pics as promised

Posted by p9nineo
@jah
can you show me the photo for the camera side?

I got this pic from noreve previously

from one of your pics, it doesnt look like this

Posted by Jah
@p9nineo

if you see my last pic you'll see that Noreve must have changed the design so that the camera cover can be left in-place when the camera is not in use. Will post another pic tomorrow - need to go shopping with my daughter!

@Jah,

Nice pics, ordered mine yesterday. The photos show a perfect fitting case.
The krusell case is much more stretched and looks undersized.

I really like the JPSHK case. It's much like my old P900 case... I can answer the phone and send SMS without unlatching a button or flipping a cover. The lack of a beltclip suits me well, as it just adds bulk to case and I don't use it anyway.

It's just a pity that they don't sell online...

Hi Vicoyski, precisely. My P900 and P910i both uses this type of open leather cases. We called it Martin Field's look alike case cos it was Martin Field's that first brought this type of cases into the mass market when P910i was first released 2 years+ ago. Actually, the inclusion of the belt clip for such cases are unique in that they can be unscrewed and put aside if one does not need it. Hopefully, I can get it by coming Tues.

i am using the krusell case...this is the best one that i could get to india
but i have problems with
1 cant access the key lock switch
2 the plastic strip over the screen interferes with writing on screen
3 the back cover partly blunts the sound from the speaker
4 the cover is tight
5 the fornt plastic covers obscures the view especially in the sun

but the best thing about this is the multiadapter and i am very comfortable hooking into my trouser

Is the one you're getting coming from JPSHK? Do post your comments and observations. Thanks!

By the way, JPSHK has a distributor in Singapore, listed in their webiste. I may be visiting Singapore within the month. Might just drop by the distributor's shop.

Does anyone know of a decent see-thru, skin-style case for the P990? Thin, light and easy on the eye would be great!

If it's possible.... I would like to have one like VAJA made foe Motorola Q model.... It's very beautiful I even seem before....

Regarding the PielFrama case, how does the belt clip work? What I mean is when it is placed on the belt, does the case's open end face down or up? Previous PF cases have the problem that when the latch opens, the phone can fall out.

Posted by Mankeymonkey
I guess you can swivel the phone case on your belt, so if it fall out one way. Turn it around and hope it doesnt fall out that way too!

Posted by nautilus
Well, in looking at the pics on the PF website, the clip appears to be attached right in the middle of the case. The clip itself is rotatable, so it could well rotate unintentionally. If someone has this case, can they comment on how well it wears with the belt clip?

Hi,

Has the official Sony Ericsson case got a magnetic catch closer on it? and if so does it affect the screen?

Would be grateful of your help in this matter.

Thanks & Regards

I ordered a IEC-20 off ebay just waiting for it to arrive and being VERY careful not to do any damage in the meantime lol.

Has anyone tried this Proporta P990 Case ?

I just got a silicone rubber case from ebay... and came with a free screen protector, all for the price of £4 including P&P

bottom row of keys are covered, but it has bumps in the rubber, so you know where they are..

other buttons on side have bumps, apart from jog wheel, and keylock which are open.

Quite impressed for the money.

@einst,

do you have a link for the case you bought?? Most silicone case don't cover the kepad; yours sounds good though!

Those are the Piel Frama range of cases. Expansys have always sold Piel Frama under their own brand (and now Ora which they own anyway) as "Chairman's Cases".

Have the same case. Looks ok I guess, workmates call it a phone condom.

Brando case, quite smart!

Posted by PeterKay
Not bad, nice pics.

Posted by charliest
Unfortunately, the Brando case will not let the flip close properly and you are forever in FO mode. Major surgery rectifies this.

I still am searching for a case which will let the flip close and permit access to the connector. How are you supposed to plug anything into the bottom using any of the existing cases?

Posted by Jah
@charliest

look at the Noreve P990 case

Posted by ares
I also have a black noreve now

Here´s more photos about it

As near as I can tell from the pictures, the Noreve case does not allow access to the bottom connector when the case is closed. Am I mistaken?

No, you are right. Maybe Noreve could extend the lower flip a bit and make an extra magnet closure, so you can choose with or without connector
