Thanks much, I have this ting about wanting the phone with the best display but can never afford then, this is my last year in high school and then i am in the working world and can spend most of my pay cheque on phones. (Btw i live in jamaica) the phones out here are realy expensive sometimes its twice the cost that you guys pay in england and etc

AFAIK there's no 256K colors in LCD, it should be like this :
256, 4096, 65536, 262144, 16 millions ---> 256 multiply by 1, 16, 256, 1024, and 62500 rescpectively ---> 256, 4K, 65K, 262K, 16M.
And what's true for K600 is TFD 262K 176x220
And for W810 is TFT 262K 176x220
I have a K600 and W800 (not W810 though) and the display of K600 is better than W800.

there are ways to change the display with difrent drivers like installing a k750i driver on a w800i would change the contrast etc to the k750i std but the prob is that it can make the phone unreliable

I think the S700 has the best display IMO. Although I've yet to see it up against a K800.

definately the k800i. Had a w900i recently, k800i is better.
And the w810i screen is better than k600i. My mate has k608i. same thing, and my old w810i screen is miles better......

i,v got a k800,a k750 and a s700.my wife has a w810.here's how i think the phones compare side by side.
the s700 and k800 both have very similar,sharp displays but k800 has the brighter.
its the same with the k750 and w810,the w810s being brighter.overall i think the k800 comes out top.
if you cant afford the newer phones and want a big,sharp display the go for a s700,though it is a bit bulky.

Yeah the W900 has a sort of 'washed out' look. Disappointing on such a good phone otherwise.

i thought the samsung d600 had a amazing display quality, along with the w810i, k800i, the w900i was big and bright but wasnt really crisp like the d600

The D600 screen is closer to the cover screen thats why it looked so clear and crisp, where as the others are about 2mm behind the cover...

I'd say K800i, but i havent seen all the phones, so i cannot compare it to everythng.
However, i will say that perhaps the most striking thing when I upgraded from a K750i to K800i was the HUGE improvement to the screen. The K750i screen looks so old and outdated now.
Then again, i remember thinking how amazinf the K750i screen was when I upgraded to it......so its all relative.
Also,the K800i is the first screen on a mobile that I have had that has been able to deal with direct sunlight exceptionally well - something I believe SE have been working on.....something to do with reflective coating? Dunno, but it looks great in sunlight so im happy

K800 has the better SE screen maybe and even so I think m600 is better but E900 is far better than them. Samsung is the better in screen matter. I was talking about normal sized screen cuz now the better screen in phone is certainly the n73.
