5-years of Esato and it is still going strong and attracting new members on a daily basis. When you look back since you joined is there one moment/post/thread that stands out you remember and might chuckle when you think about it?
Posted by Evil Eye
when i won my first playtime(yesterday)

The Clara Thread is a time when there was fevered speculation about the K750! Esato's worst kept secret. :-) That for me was a memorable time.
Posted by BobaFett
there were many great moments, i would say as conclusion all of it, that during the yeras i made here many friendships, met really much highly respected members and esato gives me the feeling ( which is more important imo over the fones itself ), that i belong somewhere and i am an apart of the most respected mobile forum on the internet.

my most memerable moment was doing my first trade here when i bought something off coxy

@boba well said

Esato has indeed been a phenomenal success and is growing bigger day by day.
Their are plenty of such threads that make laugh when i think about it...where would you like me to begin?
I'd say one of my many Anti-Bush threads and Other Political Threads that i've posted are proberbly the most memorable ones for me and do make me giggle as i got a lot of members involved in the discussions and some of them took it very personally and some got quite agitated....But it was all in the spirit of debate and we did have some interesting discussions be it some of them were quite sensitive subjects...But i can't help laughing over them!

The most powerful memory for me has to be a girl called jellyellie. She had something to say in every single thread despite the fact, that she was only 11 at the time

I had many memorable moments here on Esato.....
a) Getting intervieved by scotty on "On the Couch" thread.
b) Winning an FM Radio as my first playtime goodie last year.
c) Closure of the Old SE India Thread
and most importantly, my present job for which Esato (and a special Esatonian) is singlehandedly responsible
Not to mention the jolly time i have had with all my fellow Esatonians! Its been a great experience making friends all around the globe.

oooooh, lots of things...
The financial crisis stands out as one of the biggest, I was still a lurker back then.
Vlammetje and the other guys and gals providing an unofficial custom theme making service via the 'post your requests for themes' thread.
Meths, Dj Creamz, Batesie etc. positively dominating non-mobile and garbage boards with some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on a forum.
And of course haynesycop creating the 'Cycovision PC Help thread'.

Piles of times I've had a great time here.
Creating Playtime must have been one of the most successfull things I've done. I can't rememer when it was but Masseur was actually one of the first winners.
The most hilarious time I've ever had is in The Bathroom Topic.
I'll never get over Masseur posting a picture of himself half naked
Another memorable moment was the Norwegian Esato gathering I organized at
Norway. Quite a few members showed up and we had a good inside view at
and a lesson in the story behind Esato by Laffen.
(I'm nsure I'll remember more stuff as soon as I press "Submit"...)

Taking a cue from tranquil, in my opinion, the funniest thread that I have ever come across here on Esato was This One!!!
Posted by scotsboyuk
Memorable moments ...
(In no particular order)
Tesco
Egg
fijbert leaving
pachy and BengalBoy arguing
BengalBoy's theads with lots of pictures
MixiN's pink P800
Meths' 'Who Do They Remind You Of?' thread
kimcheeboi's departure and what happened afterwards
you know who's departure and his frequent returns
meeting Gigs, gelfen, Vlammetje, MixiN, pachy, Whizkidd and a whole host of other people
Posted by Lynx69
my first playtimes and
Man's garbage thread with me and kimcheeboi Posted by methylated_spirit
Hilarious hi-jinx and general rambunctiousness in the Garbage and non-mobile threads
mince-inside and our wonderful "Mince'n'Meths solve all your problems" thread.
Too many people to list - Scotsboyuk, Cycovision, DJCreamz, Trogdor, Batesie, Leeboy, Kimcheeboi, miss uk, miss copperfield, bobafett, marlonski, and a whole host of others, too many to mention.
The great sense of community and diversity, which is so unusual on an internet forum.

Gotta say, that Bananphone ringtone is one thread I remember most!
Although I don't post much, I tend to frequent this site quite regularly. I'm not a member of any other forum and don't use chat rooms, but Esato is quite different. It's very genuine and the mods do a very good job at keeping the site accessable to all ages and interests. I'm always "taken aback" at some of the personal issues, the older members bring up such as their love life! and personal problems and whilst I try not to get involved in these threads, it always very apparent to me at how close some of you guys are and how helpful you can be!
That's very unique, but perhaps a sign of how our generation has adapted to virtual friendships and environments. We see how people go from playing online games together to councelling each other! It's a whole new era and one I am proud to be part of!
Oh, and apparently, this site is also pretty good for discussing Sony Ericsson phones

i have been a regular here for almost 2yrs...i joined esato for themes for my K700...but then i got addicted to the forum. Thanks to
,i came to know about Esato Most of my threads were related to computer problems i faced than any mobil phone problems...like cracking a winzip password, getting the screen to show correct way(it had gone upside down when playing NFS),setting up torrent, limewire, some security softwares...and recently... http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=127826#post1730748 which is still not solved
Also,i met some really wonderful people from around the world...to mention a few from India..mrao,sanjcher,govi,whizz,sailaab,vineet,blu,debu,shyam,oogy,prad..also from other countries like JN,Johnex,Bobafett,axxxr,masseur,marlonski,maxwedge,chilli,blackspot,amawanqa,brix...
(Sorry if i forgot someone)Its the users here at Esato who make visiting Esato a pleasure.
The most exicting moment is when a new SE phone rumour comes...its like a celebration in the forum with all kinds of discussions.I also love the SE India reloaded, garbage and non-mobile threads.
Don't have any memorable experience which stands out or i remember well...never won any playtime either

I,ve only joined recently but have been reading and learning alot for a couple years now.
A while back there was a kid who came out as gay through this forum and the overwhelming support showed that we as a human spirit are growing in many ways and all over the world.
There was a user that I don't see posting anymore by the name of Vlammetje. She always had the wisest, most thought out and respectful things to say in these threads. I wanted to be part of something where I witnessed such goodwill exchanged.
And when I'm not feeling so terribly sappy, many hilarious garbage threads have kept me in stitches and up far past my bedtime!
Posted by goldenface
@spindizzy
I agree.
Vlammetje does post here every now and again but rarely. Shes much loved and missed.
I know what you mean about the garbage threads, you have to laugh at some of the rubbish in there...
The Mobile phone takes the Piss' thread gets me every time.
Talk about toilet humour....
Posted by mrao
My most memorable moment would have to be when I helped a particular fellow member get through a job interview.....purely through pms on esato.... gosh...I've never typed as much in one session

@Spindizzy - wise words dude.

@ Residentevil
Wow! Thanks alot man.
Posted by marlonski
Too many to point one out one in particular as there have been soooo many for me.
Who would place the 1000000th post, scoty's 'on the couch' (which is a real shame he doesn't do any more), the K700 picture thread and all the guys that would frequent it, chili, max wedge, dr thug, blackspot to name but a few. axxxr's ability to find wierd and wonderful gadgets was always fun and more recently his and scotys love hate relationship
Oh and then there was meths and his many 'off his head' threads! His 'stupid hats thread' had me fall over and laugh my nuts off at some of the pictures he and others were posting, the man is mental!
