Surely they could have used a more 'discreet' method. I agree most mobile phone cases do not protect them from dust, mud, water etc, but surely who is going to go out and purchase one of these 'condoms' and then put it on there phone?

normal condoms normally have lube on and are a differnt thickness, not going to go into details, but these are probally allot better then a normal condom for phones.
I recon its great, I hate the usual silicon cases whcih make the phone 2 times as thick and only protect from scratches. I may buy one for my 3310 I bought today for a quid lol

Now seriously...
The idea looks kinda good, it wouldnt make the phone bulkier and surely it would protect it from a lot of things... however... the biggest damage to phones are made when people drop them accidently and a condom wouldnt prevent that.

Interesting idea - but if you're somewhere hot and humid, or just damp, wouldn't condensation form on the inside of the 'condom', causing moisture damage to the phone?

Ok this is hilarious!
Let's just say once upon a party too many I've spent several a slimey hour spewing filth on some pornoriffic chat line with my T610 tied up in a condom while... uh soaking in the bathtub.
Eventually I'd pass out and wake to find my phone at the bottom of a cold bath and absolutely dead. Those things leak. I had replaced my phone nine different times during the warranty period and the tenth sadly left me assed out.
So I saved my pennies, sobered up and got a W810 and now it's not even allowed near my bathroom.
Gawd, I was mess. Yiiiiikes!!!

I smiled when I started reading and saw the first pictures. Then I started looking for weaknesses. As others already stated, you might have to deal with condensation or overheating. But then there are other issues: microphone, ear piece and loudspeaker covered, reducing their sensitivity / loudness. Data port, handsfree / charging connector... everything is covered. Try removing the battery when your phone freezes (YES, I am a K850i user, I admit it. Now leave me alone!) or the SIM card, memory card etc. You will have to remove the "skin" every time it's in your way.
This product is clearly meant to be used for a limited amount of time, when you know for sure your phone might get wet, dirty, dusty - you name it. It's not for every day use, it's just for temporary protection. Pretty much like a condom, yeah.
