The latest craze out there for forum users is to add a userbar like the ones bellow to their forum signature, expressing intrests, emotions or just random stuff.
I have made these so far:
Helix USSR:
Johnex (name only):
Battlefield 2 Player:
And Esato User:
Guidelines for userbars:
1. Width 300 (or custom)
2. Height 15
3. Add text in Visitor BRK TT2 (download) with a 1px black border
4. Add Image (animated or not)
5. Add 3d white area
6. Add 1px border around the image
7. Save as gif
If you guys want me to post a tutorial, ill be glad to.
Tools used: Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready (for animations)
If you have time to make one, post the results here for other members to see and get inspired!

I wouldn't really call this a recent craze.. This is pretty old. About 2-3 years old.
I remember this along the same time I created the 'Angel sigs' fad on the Aqua scene.

I didn't say anything about us not seeing it or it not being shown in other forums.
I'm saying it's not a recent craze and this is old and has been for ages now.

They certainly look pretty cool, but I sorta like the 'no images in signature policy' On other forums, some people go overboard and start putting huge images or usebars in their sigs, making the thread really hard and distracting to read. Right now, it looks to hassling to bother editing and putting in a usebar into each and every one of my posts. Maybe we could have an allowance to have small usebars in our sigs?

A little help please.....
After i type the text in a new layer the stroke option becomes greyed out so basically i'm unable to give my text the black border....what am i doing wrong?

You need to make a new layer above it, and manually draw the border around it. If you then want to merge the two layers, then that is good, but its not suggested if you want to have it as a template.
