Looks like the Black Diamond will be having a more affordable twin brother minus the diamonds called the White Pearl.

Well this is the news i've been dieing to hear,so here we have it folks a more affordable version of the beautiful Black diamond although it won't be black.
The White Pearl will in every way be the same as the Black Diamond just no Titan and no diamonds and will come in a pearlacent white colour which i prefer more the black to be very honest,even though the black does looks good in its own way.
And specification wise it will be the same again,Quad band with Wi-Fi an Intel 400Mhz processor running windows mobile 5 a 262k TFT colour screen,Touch Sensitive 2"screen,it will also feature an internal memory of 128mb and will come with a 2Gb SD card for external storage and a 4 Megapixel camera.
Since the White Pearl will come without the luxury add ons the price will reflect that hence it will only cost: $1,500 (£815.00) now thats music to my ears.
The White Pearl will be available early 2007.

It's still not an SE phone I think.
Love to have one, but it still is a bit out of reach for me. I'd really want one in black though! Amazing specs for a 'luxury phone' as well.

Are you absolutely sure these are real because both sites provided in the NEWS section look very unprofessional-as though they were designed by a 16yr old ECDL student (I would expect more from a company charging such high prices for their products!)
As well as that, given that the handset is apparently going to be available in under 8 months ish, how come we havent yet seen a REAL photo of one?
It looks good but I'm not even remotely convinced!
By the way, this isn't a flame at you.... I'm just not as "satisfied" with the evidence as most!

The original Sony Ericsson Concept did'nt have a joystick correct but concepts that are developed are never exactly as the original plans...its actually better that the end product won't have softkeys and have touch screen buttons instead.
The actual phone will be the second one yes here.

I'm not a huge fan of WM myself but from what masseur and other users have said its pretty reliable and does what its supposed to do...which is good enough for me...or maybe this handset is just too good to pass.

unforchantly that is a blind sighted lie lol. All the windows phones I have had ended up on gaybay in under 2 days, I try them out and really want to liek them, but find the os so slow, annoying and does exactly what I don't want it to do. It's not that I cannot use them or want to dislike them, but just find the experience of uning the os so annoying I go back to a old nokia.
I find I have the same problem with the new nokia menu systems like on the n80, n70, n91 etc
