there is a menu for you to disable to operator logo. Get to Menu -> Settings -> Display Settings -> Operator Logo -> Off

I downloaded a "blank" logo from a site (through SMS) .. but then i got a white rectangle where the logo is supposed to be ..
I turned the logo to "off" then the default operator logo showed up again.

You're right! Hmm. I thought too that setting the operator logo off would remove the name of the operator anyway.
One way to tackle this is to set as operator logo the part of the background picture where the logo is displayed.

Was able to make the default operator logo disappear & no blank box will appear also... you'll need a LOGOMANAGER to do this... 1st have logomanager send a blank operator logo with an option of no country & no network. When you receive the logo save it. Your default operator logo will disappear n you have a clear view of your wallpaper

Yes, i have tryed using SmartSMS .. wich is a great program, similar to logomanager, but im using an ADSL connection and the program requires a standard modem to send SMS.
It is possible to send through ADSL also, but then you need to register an account to send SMS.. this is pretty excpencive for just wanting to send one SMS.

hi, sorry but i'm a little confused...
two solutions offered here, so is it:
a) make a transparent (not blank) logo of some sort and send it to your phone?
or
b) send a blank, no-country no-operator logo to your phone via logomanager?
now...
if it's a) what format/file type is the transparent logo (bmp, jpg, ota?? when i think of transparent only thing i think of is .gif) and how do you send it? (logomanager can't do transparent gifs, and as for nokia pc suite, the pc graphics program doesn't support gif, and the image converter doesn't do operator logos (and it doesn't seem to support transparency or animation in gifs either)
if it's b), that makes things much simpler, but can someone pls confirm it? i don't want to send myself one and end up with a big white box on my screen, thx =)
one last think, vaguely related... does anyone know how to make/send operator logos in colour?

you just send it as a sms and it will know that its a logo... can someone email me the transparent logo, then i will send it to someone by sms.... how about that, and then that someone could send it to others....

Hey, just thought of it... IF you remember the old nokias like 8210 were recognizing the ringtone and the logo themselves, like you send an sms and the phone tell you "operator logo revieved" i am not sure if it will work in this case! but then again, there are people who say it works, so...

can't you put the program seleq on ya phone and edit it that way thats what I do with my 7650 and then you can have colour opperater logos....

If you have logo manager it is really easy to get a blank opperator logo.
All you have to do is send yourself a blank op logo but where it says the network provider, enter all zero's.
I will try n work through the list of numbers later when i am on my own pc for those who have asked for it to be sent to them.

Ok i have sent every one who has posted their number a blank op logo.
Hope it works for you all.
If you have logomanager then its really easy to do.
Start lm and make sure that your phone is connected.
Click to send by sms.
Make sure that you have a sms centre number in and the number that you want to send it to.
Where it says network chooser, click that
There should be 2 boxes with numbers in.
Put 000 in the first box
put 00 in the second box
Send the logo and voila!
That should be pretty much foolproof.
If you have a demo version of logomanager that will let you send via sms then you can use that as the demo bit wont show up.
I cant send anymore at the min as i dont get that many free sms and i dont have the phone or software to do it any more.

I can't send this anymore. I don't have a Nokia phone to connect to the pc to use logo manager with. All you need to do to do this yourself is take 5 mins to d/l the demo of logo manager and follow my previous instructions.
It is really simple to do.
If you can't be arsed to do it that way, try wap.logogo.com
