A2DP and In-car Handsfree?

Hi,

Wasn't sure where this should go, so hope I got the right place!

I'm looking at getting a car kit for my K800i, but was wondering if there was one available that supported A2DP? It would be really good if I could use my phone to play music through the car stereo, then I could get rid of my ipod (I only ever use it in the car!).

Any ideas if this is possible at all?
Paul

i dont think is anything likethat at the moment, why you just plug your phone like you doing with the ipod?you will need a 3.5 mm adapter.

I could do, (at the minute I use an iTrip, it's easier). But I thought as I want to buy a bluetooth kit for the car, it would be cool to have the one box running everything!

Guess I'll have to wait, I'm surprised that no-one's thought of /made it yet though...

Maybe it does already (almost) exist... Take a look at the new Sony MEX-BT5000 carstereo with A2DP Bluetooth. It's marketed with obvious references to SE musicphones. Due in August.

That looks niiiice!!! Think I'll hold on til that comes out, although I bet it'll have a hefty price on it!

Sony states a price of +/- $400. Sounds reasonable to me.

Sony MEX-BT5000 also includes Audio Video Remote Control Profile so that you can take control of your phone with the headunit - search playlists, contact lists, SMS etc. A real iPod killer IMO.
