This is the world's first manned airplane powered by AA BATTERIES.The one-man airplane has a wingspan of 102 feet and is powered by 160 AA Matsushita Oxyride batteries.

It soared as high as 5.2 meters, stayed in the air for 59 seconds and covered a distance of 391 meters (428 yards) at a private airport owned by Honda.

hope they didnt use tesco value ones, still a glider dont even really need an engine once its airborne!
