In case u wonder what im laughing at...greeneyes has a generator and still shez complaining...i don have one...i have an invertor..but light goes for around 12 hours usually, and the battery is de-charged soon...so its just shirts off for me!

Hahahaha...i have been to lahore greeneyes! and i just walked from my hotel room and some distance to Nirala Sweets, and i was drenched...1st thing i got was a kulfi,then other stuff! but its just as bad here yaar...i have just learnt to cope

1)can you mms from Pakistan with camera phone to a mobile in the UK? if so how much does it cost from each operator?
2)Can u email as well? again if so then what are the costs.
3)Can u access internet in pakistan with a mobile phone?
sorry if these questions sound lame. The reason im asking is im goin pakistan soon, and i want to take pictures on my k810 and send them via mms/email instead of having to wait 2 months and down them all on my pc when i get home.

1) i don't really know about mms but you can sms from here to england. an sms will cost you about 5-6 Pak Rs.
2) What kind of email are you referring to? if you mean sending mail via gmail, hotmail or yahoo using the built in POP3 client in your mobile then then yes you can send the email. the costs will vary as your mobile will utilise the EDGE/GPRS connection to send the email.
3) Yes you can access the internet from your mobile here. the costs again vary according to the network you are using. do you intend to use a PAYG connection or a postpaid one?

yes u can, but only one network which is Telenor, supports international mms, and in uk the networks which Telenor allows to send mms are Hutchison 3G & Vodafone. and it cost Rs. 15 +tax per mms.

There are 4 networks which has GPRS, Telenor, Warid, Ufone & Mobilink. all of networks have same prices which is Rs. 15/mb +tax which is 0.12 GBP. mobilink has limited GPRS coverage. and all other have GPRS coverage wherever there coverage is. if u want good service widest coverage then go get a Telenor connection. telenor also have EDGE coverage but in some main cities like Islamabad, Lahor karachi. if u want unlimited GPRS with fixed monthly charges of Rs. 500 but then u have to get a postpaid connection. both Warid and Mobilink have this service on their postpaid connections.

not at all. u r warmely welcome here. in my opinion sending through mms is not a good idea and emailing from fone is not good too. my opinion is to take ur data cable, blue tooth dongle with u here and transfer them to p.c and then email them. we have many net cafe here which have high speed internet. so there will be no problem.

Hw means highway and in this case the karachi-hyderabad highway...wat does this caption mean? will i be able to use edge? if so, how? they say it has the same settings as gprs :s

the reason why i really wanted to mms pics from my phone was because i read somewhere that a man from england was traveling in the usa and using his se k800i to blog pictures of holiday there to family and friends, so they would get the images of the cool places he was visiting quicker. So i thought it would be cool if i could do the same when im in pakistan.

no doubt its quicker but mms will bring down da image quality and they wont look as good on the comp screen..but if u use direct email from ur phone then great...or better yet u can use blogging software which are usually installed on nokia and se phones...
and salam baqi sab ko... and ima de brand my p990 meself...which requires alot of guts...since it says it everywhere..its an operation which can render my p990 useless meaning 14 grand down da drain...so make dua for me nd wish me luck...
