there is NO SE phone available in the market. All their line up is out of stock and all new models released for quite some time have not been released in pakistan. G900 is quite old yet no where to be found. Same for W980, C902.

Guys I'm trying to sell my n95-8gig in Pakistan but I'm having a slight problem because of the front of the phone being opened once. I had it opened in the uk to change the front keys as their color was worn off a little but never thought that opening a handset could make such a big difference.
Is there a place where I can sell it easily? I'm currently staying in rawalpindi and tried the sadr area. The best I've been offered is 25,500 RS with a box, which contains all the accessories unused and unpacked

Thats quite less. Try blue area. They are selling brand new ones with no warranty for 38000rs. But the price does go down if the set has been opened.

yaar baat hai seedhi. SE was successful till the k850 was introduced, uss k baad it bombed big time on the market. no new releases like the c902 etc.
heck, even the w910 went short shortly after being released. it was a cool phone, but i had to look all over PK to find it. after that, new phones started to arrive less and less..old stocks started dwindling and now, its tough to find any new phones like w910 or k850. old, POPULAR releases like the k790i are still in stock at places.
add to it the shitty resale and the firmware bugs(most people havent heard of SEUS, they stick to the original firmware), and u have a recipe for disaster..
i myself was a die hard SE fan, but now i love nokia, even Samsung!

C902 is out on mobliezone stores just found out saturday but its over 30000+ so i am not going for it right now plus i dont like the 2.0" screen its the same as my K790 so not an upgread to say the least,
but i am sad that mobliezone is out of P1i i was going to get that saturday but not available any one know of shops in Karachi selling a new P1i

sorry for the late reply, i was busy this last week. go for the setup i mentioned in my last post and get the core2quad since its a great multitasker and is more future proof software-wise than the core2duo e8400. also since you're getting your stuff from aussie land, ask your brother to get either Crucial, OCZ, G.Skill or Mushkin RAM. they are much better than the corsair XMS2 DHX. also make sure the motherboard is the P5Q-Pro not the regular P5Q. oh and i quoted the prices from galaxy computers. they have branches in lhr, isloo and khi
(but the prices are subject to fluctuations in the $-Rs. conversion rate)

@shuak: the p5q pro is a better optimised board. and yeah like i said the prices are dependant on the $-Rs. conversion rate. Hence the greater the value of the $, the more expensive these things get :s

Some Great info for Mobilink Users in Gujranwala...
Mobilink was providing EDGE on testing bases to some areas in Isl. & Lhr. But now in Gujranwala i'm getting EDGE signals since Oct 25' night on my indigo sim. Speed is better if compared to UFONE or TELENOR' EDGE.
Mobilink is still not providing us EDGE on comercial bases. Speed varies from 80Kbps to 216Kbps (i.e. 10KB/s - 27 KB/s)
p.s. when will we have 3G and HSDPA in Pakistan?

i play mostly Bioshock and COD4
thinking of upgreading to Core 2 Quad and xfx 9600 but sadly i am short on cash

yeah im using PTCL's 1Mb connection and seriosly apart from issues with line quality there is no problem at all.
so jab bhi PTCL ki taraf se laganay ain to koshish kar k line lazmi change kara lena otherwise u will face problem. exchange se distant thora zada ho like 5KM to problem lazmi aye gi agar kam hai to u r good to go. distant zada honay ki sorat main 512 le lena. aik baat aur PTCL pehle low speed provide karta hai like they will first give u 256 lekin 5-10 days main proper upgrade ho k full speed aajati hai. dont know why they do this.
i get ~100KB/s speed from good servers.

WoW get a normal LCD screen dont go for the wide screen if your into games but its your choice what ever sute you
i use a 17" for now will just get a 21" second hand monitor later on
the 260 has DVI-I and HDTV ouput and i think its now comming with Far Cry 2 bundled

@korbin: i'm still not decided on whether i'm gonna get the 260. the 4870 1GB costs just as much and is quite a performer. plus the motherboard i've listed supports only crossfire not sli. so if i want i can plug in another 4870 a few months down the line for some serious firepower
