Yesterday ma read on another forum ke PTCL walo ne apna default package 199+tax/m or saath mein 5000mins free kerdia hai. Aur ya package her number per activate ker dia gia hai. Is it true? Kisi ko is baray kuch pata hai?
P.s. These free mins aren't for local calls.

Agree wid qvga. Package december main logon say bina poochay activate kar diya gaya tha. This angered people and lawsuits were considered, or maybe even filed. Watz ironic is dat nw u have to w8 4 hours to DEACTIVATE a package instead of activatin it.
I thnk itz a gud package.

u can use net meter to check ur ups and dls. pls note that, if u have a local area connection, and browse other computers with ur pc, then that will also count as network traffic in Net Meter, but that is not counted on ur broadband bill. the link is below, its free, and very small on RAM.

click on Dsl
in Login Id enter ur fone no with city code e.g 051222222
i hope u have got the Password if not then call customer support and get from them
after login in click on "DSL List History Inquiry" then select current month from "Billing Month" drop down list
click on Query thats it. working for me

I'm using MBL Broadband 512kbps.
Its unlimited from 8pm to 8am. And on sunday its free 24hours. All for 1200rs/month.

i can easily use well over 10Gb in a week. which is why i'm using the local cable internet available here as none of the isp's here provide 512K bandwith with an unlimited volume download package. multinet do give an unlimited package but thats 256K and costs 2000. i went to wateen yesterday and their WiMAX packages are much more reasonable than the other isps. they give you WiMAX and a landline for 1350 a month. the WiMAX package is 512K with a 10Gb volume download cap. so now i have to decide between this and multinet.

i can too consume my 6 GB volume in just a week or two, but after 1:00am till 8:00am it is free so all of my downloading starts at this time on the day time i simply browse the net.
@NyB wateen is not reliable u can see their complete package their installation charges are high and i have heard from many people that their signal are not really strong if ur planing to use the CPE without th external antenna, the antenna cost u much more than normal,
my advise is to go for PTCL coz it is much more cheaper and they will also drop the in the next month.

And as for wateen my dad was wanted to switch to wateen (for office setup) but in end bro was talking about wateen's bad service and pata nahi kia kia bus ye k they decided to stick to cybernet since its reasonable and dad inki service kafi time se use ker rehein hain. Acha kia aap mujhe wateen walon ka cable TV k package ka pata sakta hai? At time we are have Dish TV 170Channels (including Zee network, Star network, etc etc i must say DvD quaility picture) all Indians for 600Rs/m per TV set. Was just wondering what would be wateen 's package for cable TV AS WELL AS THEIR PICTURE QUAILITY?

@shuak: their installation charges are not high at all: Rs.1000 which is pretty much what everyone else charges. i don't know about the signal issue though. i'll check it out. thanx for the info
@greeny: yes i download lots and lots of japanese cartoons (anime) which can consume 10GB+ very very easily
i don't think wateen have launched their cable tv yet because when i went there yesterday they were telling that it will be launched in a month or two. i don't know about the number of channels they will be offering but they are supposed to be launching digital tv which will benefit those of us with HD televisions as the picture quality is simply superb. and when are you getting your x360? do let me know [ This Message was edited by: Nyb on 2008-01-18 09:22 ]

@NyB no i was talking first time charges with is round about 5000Rs and also post dated cheques which is not good, signal issues are really bad if u r near a wimax enable tower then u r good other wise bas service will welcome u,
or may be wait for their dsl services i hope that will be cheap and unlimited,

PTCL do not give any routers. they just give you the dsl modem. you need to get the router by yourself. they'll cost upwards of Rs.3000
