out of sheer curiosity: If you have a paypal account AND you have sufficient funds to pay for the item you have 'won' (never understood why we 'win' auctions as we really 'buy' imho), why do you need a 3rd party?

please keep your comments to yourself us felow esato member help each other out!!
and lamont is a great guy!

but he had money but not in paypal!

Erm, Vlammetje is a very well respected and long standing Esato member, her question was quite legitimate.
In fact, I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm guessing that it's because bank transfer to paypal takes a few days, where as a member with a credit or debit card could deposit money pretty much instantly.

the situation is that my paypal account is not linked to my bank account as i have another paypal account which is limited due to some t**t doing a chargeback for £225 3 months after they recieved the item and i no longer had proof of postage so he won.
I therefore cannot use the same bank/card details on this account and i had no money in the account.
Thats why i needed a 3rd party.
Cheers again for your help
