Is there anywhere to get decent K800i themes yet? Is it possible to download themes for other models and resize them using any program at all? I made my own theme using the theme creator for my old W900 and dont fancy re-doing it all again to fit my K800. Any suggestions?

Hi I dont think they will work cause I had loadsa K700i themes and tried to put them on my k750i when it came out and they didnt work. Worth a try tho!

I've tried to put a k750 theme on the k800 but because of the increase in size, the pictures are smaller and centralised, I can only assume that k800 themes will be too big if put on a k750

Thats right
The K800i screen is 240x320 and the K750i screen is 176x220
So they wont work at all.

mine have improved slightly since them days, i'll see if I can get some later versions up, but i've not done any for aaaaaages,
dont try and make time to do them, just do your best with the free time available. I made the mistake of asking people what mp3 ringtones they wanted, and got really deep in with that just took up all my time, nowadays I just make ones I want and share them with people who want the same.... to many requests

Can't anybody do a clean (white maybe?) theme for K800i? Or link to it if there already is one. The ones that comes with the phone makes me think of trance and that's no good.
Edit: OK, I made a quite nice black-white-grey theme myself. The problem is, when I highlight for example "phone mode" in the USB menu, both the text and the highlight frame are white (this appears in the alarm settings menu too). I really can't find what color I need to change in the theme creator though... Any suggestions?

my friend has a w810i and the orbit theme that comes with the phone is awesome it changes the menu icons to sort of like shadows and each time you click to a different icon it vibrates quickly.
is there any way of getting a version for the k800i os its too small and doesnt change the icons in the menu the way it does on the w810i
if you could help that would be great.

You could always grab the theme and open it in theme studio (latest version) and resize the images to the correct size's..i would do it for you, but i'm away to jamaica in the morning and should be packing right now..lol as soon as i get outta this poxy hospital...lol

You can also use SonyEricssons freely downloadable Themes Creator. Thiis how to do it:
0) Prerequisites:
a) a .thm file accessible on the computer
b) winrar or any other program that can open tar files. The .thm file format is actually the same as unix tar, and .rar is very similar to tar, except that it also can be compressed.
c) A good picture processing program that is capable of rezising images with good quality, even when the image zize is made larger than the original, like photoshop.
1) First, extract the images from the .thm file. An easy way to do that is to first rename the .thm file to .rar and open it in winrar, then extract. Then rename the themes file back to .thm.
2) Start the themes creator with no thm file, and select your phone model.
3) Open the thm file with the themes creator. The program will complain about wrong version, and it will say that it will convert the theme file to the correct version. The result is seldom very good though.
4) Resize the images using the picture processing program. The new sizes can be obtained from the info in the themes creator. Once each file is rezised, save it and import it into the themes creator.
5) save and send to the phone.

wow that windmill theme is nice! but for some reason when i open the menu on my phone the background image of the windmill, around the edges of the windmill and parts of the blades, turn multi coloured...

How annoying is it when someone steals your work and passes it off as their own? I know I didn't make the bloc theme in the beginning but I did spend hours porting it and getting it spot on for the k800i. Didn't expect someone to upload to another site and claim it's their work. ARGH!

I made a theme from the picture Feather on the K800i. However I get an error when I try to upload it to Esato about IPTC. However the theme is working fine on my phone. What is the problem?

There may be some error checking done by the esato server that finds something erroneous in your theme. It's difficult to tell what the problem is without actually having the theme available.
