@fatreg: In India, Ragging is a ritual, where the freshmen get there arses kicked by the seniors and sophomore.
Pretty much everyone who decides to go to college here has to bear it. The bright side is, you get to be a sophomore next year, and take it all out on the freshmans.

@Debu: If anyone tried 'ragging' my little brother when he starts college in a couple of years they'll get an ass whipping. In South Africa it's been outlawed on all campuses.

no it's not ragging - at least not the physical part - it's the mental shit you have to bear. People you knew from childhood look through you etc.

Never believe what they write in a college's prospectus. Bloody liars! They write the teacher-student ratio to be, say 1:15. What would you think? That one teacher teaches only 15 students at a time. That's not it though. They take the TOTAL number of students and the total number of teachers and simply divide. So the reality is that one teacher teaches 60 students in a cramped class and guess what? Teachers are UNDERGRADUATE students in the same college!!! About just a year elder to you!!!

well neha thats good.
the reason being you can play around a lot, and dont worry about passing, because the college will make sure you pass and get placed, only then will they get more students the next time. BELIEVE ME.
