Did you do it with a K800i like this?

Your procedure is the same than blogger says in their help. But: I created the blog directly with my K800i (view picture in album > send to blog). And in the right sidebar of my dashboard at blogger I don't have a headline "mobile devices" I could change my phone.

Your procedure seems to work if you send your messages to go@blogger.com. I just use the "send to blog" feature of the K800i.

Back to the more important bugs...

So when you receive a phone call....does it still take 1-2 seconds before your microphone starts working?

Posted by ghostfreak
The microphone works fine in this version.

Posted by drich290195
No it does not but i have never had this

I don't have the "Mobile Devices" link in Blogger Dashboard either. Annoying! :-/

Problems

I have never had thhe phone lock up. Since i updated it has locked twice in 4 hours.Once on standby screen. and once in a game tennis.

I'm confused about the "PictBridge support added" note in te firmware release notes on p1.

PictBridge has always been there!

I've printed a few pictures directly to the printer via the USB cable...

Posted by mwarner
> PictBridge has always been there!

Really!? As I don't have a PictBridge printer I have never noticed. I was just going on what Ghostfreak said a little earlier in the thread:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=124349&start=773

I will remove it if this functionality is nothing new. Perhaps this now occurs when attaching the phone to the PC for some reason?

Posted by ghostfreak
I have never come across the PictBridge option until I loaded the new firmware and plugged the USB cable in.

Posted by Daisun
PictBridge was always there but for printers only. That is if u plugged ur phone into a printer u could print straight to it. But i hav not seen the option for PictBridge when connecting to the computer. Its either a new feature or something which wasn't working on earlier firmwares.

I wish SE would release it on SEUS...

Posted by ghostfreak
Thanks for clearing that up Daisun

Posted by drich290195
Thats 3 crashes in 4 hours their is something unstable about this firmware

Ahh, ok...

What's the use of it when it's connected to a computer. I thought the point of PictBridge was for direct connection to a printer?!

just need a quick answer.. is there any latest firmware update for K800?

Posted by masseur
if there was, it would be shown in the first post of this thread, and its not, so there isn't

there would also be lots of chatter here about what it fixes and doesn't fix etc

Posted by SE Rules
@quickshare

If you do as masseur says, you will see that there is now a new firmware from , check it out, its on Wotan.

Cheers

Posted by masseur
ooh! I missed that one myself. looks like it was only added to the post this morning

I did assume that quickshare meant on SEUS anyway as I doubt many of us pay for our updates

Posted by QuickShare
Thanks for the lead masseur.. oh ya i just found out there's a new firmware on the first post.. but have to pay for it right?.. probably i'll just wait for SEUS update

yeah, its 7 euros.

actually though, I've never used wotanserver although Ive used davinci quite a few times so I might just give this a go tonight, just out of interest

Posted by drich290195
Woton i found to be so much easier than davinci

Posted by masseur
my main interest is getting the large clock in the standby screen to work in 24 hour time (see here)

oh, and also the track titles displayed on my ds970 headset if that is also fixed

Posted by obentou
I agree - can someone at least look at the bug list at the first page and verify if these bugs are fixed? I mean, that is the main reason why this thread is here.

Instead of talking about "PictBridge" or whatever, which I find utterly USELESS, help us out by checking out the fixes.

Posted by drich290195
Read my posts they cover a few off them
Can u update the first page with the Jbenchmark results i posted!!!

so does any one kno then wen the update R1ED001 will be avaible on the se updater.?

Posted by inselaffe
If I understand this correctly, we can pay and update with any version now with Wotan, or wait and update to an operator-specific version via SEUS later for free, and then there is or will be DaVinci too

Does anyone with experience of upgrading via the different methods have any advice on the best way to upgrade your phone, the pitfalls to watch out for, where you are paying unnecessarily, and where it's worth paying over the free options.

I apologise if I'm sounding noobish.

Can someone please tell me why i keep getting the incompatible Macromedia version?

I have installed the latest update service including Adobe Flash player (formerly Macromedia) Am i missing something???

Posted by drich290195
best one is wotan, i have used both and wotan is so simple plug it in it does it 9 minutes 10 seconds every time. Great service always first even before SE and they get the versions which SE dont get. How do they get them so quickly

Posted by drich290195
Also their is a new animation in video call menu speech marks come out of the peoples mouths another bug shortcuts assigned to the joystick still are not saved

Actually WOTAN gets them from SE as does DaVinci Team and TMS. They purchase access to the servers from SE. SE does not release as many versions as the others simply because they are the OFFICAL releases from SE, and SE allows (my guess here) them to flash first. You are getting actual SE software but software that has been hacked. The other versions from WOTAN, TMS, and DaVinci are sometimes hacked versions and not supported by SE. If you flash your phone, you void the warrantee.

Posted by sapporobaby
From looking at the original post from MWarner, it does not look like the price to pay is worth the upgrade. Can those that paid for it verify if this is so?

TIA

Just upgraded mine through woton... easy as!

I have noticed in this new firmware that the screen savers are now very smooth compared to the previous firmware it replaces. Has anyone else noticed the difference??

Definitely work the upgrade...

Posted by obentou
I'm with sapporo - before I go paying Wotan for the upgrade, any of you guys experience many of the bugs being fixed? I'd like to see the call log bug fixed, and the menu selection "titles" via. numpad fixed.

As for the K790i, anybody associated with SE know when the R1ED001's variant for this model will come out?

For those who updated their firmware I want to ask them if the volume in mp3 player is better because the main thing I don't like about the phone is quiet MP3 playback(even in hpm 70 which are very good especilally on walkman series).

Posted by ghostfreak
I think I 'may' have found a new feature:

During a call you can bring up the menu and select an option (which I don't think was there before) called 'Transfer Sound', when selected you can then transfer the call to a Bluetooth device I think.

Was this option in the earlier firmware?

Posted by rajravat
yes it was ghost

Not in my K800, so maybe some have that option and some not

Improvements:
- PictBridge support added
- Significantly rewritten MMS editor
- Large Clock is now positioned above the date
- Bookmarks listed directly in the Internet section of the task menu rather than in a Bookmarks submenu
- Updated internet browsing icon

Damn!

I liked it like it was before...

so theres no update available on the seus yet,, we have to buy a wotan acc to update,, that sux since my cc is getting rejected at there site,, so :\\ i guess i'd have to wait,, does anyone know when will it be released for the public by sony? thanx,,

Posted by Xugaa
Dunno, though I'm not really bothered... Sony Ericsson don't have to be quick about a patch, just make a really cool one with no additional bugs. Simply because the K800 seems rather flawless at the moment, unlike the K750 there isn't much to improve on.

Posted by [c3]
lool u beat me to the large clock position, i liked it where it was too,, this sux,, im not updating,, i don't really care about the green line, its not that annoying, in fact it adds life to the vid:P

[ This Message was edited by: [c3] on 2006-09-08 01:38 ]

Posted by Xugaa
Lol, anyway the green/purple line is only when recording... it doesn't show when you play the recorded video after so its not much of a problem.

Fortunately its not an official update from SE, so thats ok.

Posted by [c3]
ooh i c, kewl, so the official sony update is still on the way,, nice nice, man i cant wait to see them fix the real media files problem, where u cant ff and rw the songs with the music player if they have a rm format, but u can play them normaly, u can control them though,

PicBridge support was already there. Not new.
