Surprise, surprise !!!!

@mwarner,
Any chance you can compile these repeat posts and incorporate them in the first post as many of the recent ones are duplicates from those of us that updated our phones quite a while back. This would keep this thread to a minimum of superfluous posts? If possible you could delete the repeats and clean up the thread to make it leaner for someone searching for info on the k800i so that they would not have to wade through all of this minutia.

Correct me if I'm wrong:
I think Music DJ changes in appearance. Hm, or my eyes only?
Also a minor flaw in misspelling the phrase 'komunikasi data' in my Indonesian customization. It displays 'komunikasi dat'-the last letter 'a' is missing. No problem, anyway..

Hey dude.
I have an idea. Could you compile your findings and then compare them with the first post and then itemize them? This would make them easier for all of us to read and compare.
By the way, when I asked you a few pages back to PM me, I was going to give you and extra Wotan credit I had but you never replied so I gave it to Cupidon (or something like that). You could have had your phone upgraded two weeks ago.

excellent idea, you can use this post sa an example of the first set of repeat post, so that it would be easier for someone like sarpo to read each page (don't think he know's the search option. that would be a really big help for all of us. thanks.

@bat-sh...t
The word I think you are looking for is "as", not "sa". If you want to insult at least know what you are talking about. Second, if you want to continue take it to the PM and not wreck mwarner's thread further with your mindless, sophomoric ramblings. You have demonstrated your lack of mobile phone knowledge. Don't further embarrass yourself.
P.S. Be original. I know I impress you but you do not have to try to cash in on my ideas.

@sapporobaby:
Hm, really? A wotan credit? Thanks so much,anyway. Although I wasn't aware about that..I'm just a humble citizen of a small town here in Indonesia. I want to make a single long post, but what can I do with Opera Mini. It simply limits my remark into some characters..so, please, forgive me then. Hope that mwarner can do that better than I am.

Yup. Read back a few pages. I asked you where are you from in Indo, as I have a friend there. Also you seemed to be really suffering and annoyed about your phone. I bought a few credits when I went to flash my phone so if I think you are what you are and are partaking in the event in this time of year, I wanted to offer you the credit as a Hassena. Did not know you are using Opera Mini. How do you like it? I am using my M600i pretty much exclusively now. My k800i sits on my table.
Posted by aremaboy
Opera Mini is the best here. Here, 3G connection is just a week old to be introduced, and my town, Malang, 1000km from Jakarta, has no 3G access yet. So, GPRS is the only solution because I can lay around while browsing or even watch TV..Besides, it's cheap on my limited budget..lol..I use the low esato version. M600 is just USD 290 here..well, I just love my K800i.

Insulting people with typos again.... How original....
Write PM... to not answer like mine yesterday....
Oh man... you need some kind of therapy.
Why don't understand, that your posts about other people is as so irritating and boring as the stupid questions and you WRECK the thread with those...
Reply in PM ... I won't answer.....

Pls someone help me:
Even if I updated my software from SEUS my k800`s volume(using hpm-70) is too slow compared with k750/w800/w810.
What earpiece I could buy(or what could I do) to increase volume and make my k800 sound like w800.
Posted by mrwoll
@wesc2
And your on O2 right?
I am in Cambridge area and no new update showing up on SEUS or FOTA.
Posted by SE-Naz

I just updated my generic K800i here in Sweden and now I only have English as phone language... T9 laguages are all there but for the menus I can only choose English or According to SIM wich also gives English..
Does a settings reset fix this or do I have to reset all? Or will nothing fix it?
Posted by aremaboy
Well, thank you SE for the new firmware..hm, nobody said thank you? Okay, let's say that.
@cupidon:
The volume is just allright. No problem for me.

Other findings regarding imaging/ Cyber-shot:
-the refresh rate of view finder improves greatly. Great job! It used to lagging rate.
-do you notice different beep sound before and after recording video? The tone is new I'm sure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

When people write about updates can they specify ie it is by SEUS or FOTA as it would make it so much easier 2 follow this thread.

on o2 here in the UK and i get no update available when i try to update
Posted by aremaboy
One R1ED001 flaw:
I can confirm as other users experienced before that randomly-occured 'number and letter code' instead of usual menus may take place once in a while. Don't know how it may happen..but it disappears after navigating here and there. Not the end of the world..
Posted by baste07
i'll keep an eye out for the bug. but so far hasn't happened yet.

just updated my K800i using SEUS,, but for some odd reason, i still have my old erom, R3A011, how's that? how can i updates my erom?
Posted by sielski666
it has been mentioned, SE has found a way round updating the firmware with out needing to update the EROM
Posted by simba2585
i tried to update my k800 via seus but it reports no update available.
its an orange phone with R1CB001. any ideas? also does the update wipe all data on the phone?
Posted by baste07
what's the effect of updating the FW without updating EROM?
Posted by SilveR.
When I trying to update mine via SEUS, it says I already got the last firmware..
Mine is unbranded K800, Geinue..
Will try later agian.
Posted by sapporobaby
Okay, many wonder why I "go off" about the posts in this thread. It is proven that people simply do not take the time to read the threads.
The issues about the EROM has been addressed over and over about 4 or 5 pages back, but EROM questions are popping up. If you take time to notice, those that answered the questions have stopped. Given up, quit, thrown in the towel, simply because it is apparent that posting answers to question go unread.
With this being said, I think Laffen should consider 2 forums. One for the paying customers where serious users can meet and post info and a general purpose forum.
This is not a flame but the last 10 posts are vindication that I am not picking on people per se but on the behavior of those using this forum.

On O2 - UK with a branded K800i. Still no update available, either via SEUS or over-the-air.

I've tried it and it works with one big flaw: Each time it loads a new picture for the slideshow it wants to confirm the right to read and write the picture.
You can't tell the applet to always accept read and write rights, you only can accept it for one time

@sarpy baby,
so what you're saying is no one should post a question (unless) its new. so should we pm you to verify the question? since you're an expert and all
Posted by baste07
oh and i like your idea about a paid forum, create one so you could whine there and save the people here from your "incitive posts"
