@drich290195 and sapporo
I've got R1CB001 and the I've tried this radio issue:
If you disconnect the headset during radio listening the phone waits for 8 seconds. If you reconnect during this time it will continue, after 8 second the radio icon disappears, so it won't continue.
So please try if this time is increased in the new firmware and if so how long?
Posted by masseur
well this is certainly a strange request but in the spirit of Esato I timed from the moment I pulled the plug to the moment the radio icon dissapeared and it took 13 seconds for each of my 3 tests
I'm not entirely sure how I will use that statistic in future
Posted by jadler
Noticed in R1ED001:
* Not sure if it was there before, I have not seen it. When entering text that should be an email address, I have the option to search the phonebook for an address. Very neat.
* As described in http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=130648 I have found on the Internet built in start page, top middle icon on main menu, where there used to be links to "Accessoires, FUN&downloads, Settings, Scoopt" there is now also a link to "My Navi". I just switched to English menus on my EU4 (generic Nordic) K800i, to get proper names of menus &c in this post, and in the English Internet menu this link is not present.

Is the radio thing really to be considered a new or improved feature? I'm on R1CF001 and radio stays active for 10 seconds after pulling the plug. The phone came with this firmware when bought first week of August.

@jadler
The ability to search for an Email address from the contacts has been there since day one! Same was evident on W800/W810/W900 etc.
Posted by mwarner
Removed Radio restoration from the first post. There seems to be either no difference of a negligable difference between firmware versions.

@farksag,
I knew this already. The way drich290195 made it sound was that you can disconnect the cable and it would still stay active for a much longer time and I know this not to be true. If you disconnect the cable, you disconnect the antenna and the radio can not function, so I have not idea about his facts regarding this matter.

Bluetooth PIM Sync problem
I just flashed to R1ED001 (from Total Multi-server). Went smoothly until I tried syncing my phone with Outlook using bluetooth - this is just using bluetooth PIM Synchronization (i.e. not using SE Phone Sync). The contacts seemed to sync OK, but before Calender or Tasks synced I got an error on the phone saying Memory Full, and the sync failed. Checked the phone, and there is plenty of free memory (and free contacts), so I don't think that is the problem.
Anyone else seen this before? As far as I can tell Contacts are syncing OK, but not Calendar or Tasks.
I have used the same setup on my K750i, W800i and on the K800i before I flashed to the latest firmware, so it seems to be related to the firmware.
slands.

yea he is right, SEUS has a new update, just updated it, but from the way it "looks" seems to have no change, not even in the procedure for updating a phone, tried it with my K800i and seems to be no change for the updating procedure...
I guess i just have more spyware on my computer

What does it mean? SEUS has a new 'look' or what?
Posted by peltsi
Hmm, does anyone know when will this new FW avaible on SEUS? Not any guesses just fact! Before Christmas? and will it be exatly same as from WOTAN? anyone?
Posted by slead
aremaboy no it does not have any change, not in look, feel, control or UI... when I started it, there appeared a small "window" that showed the update progress for SEUS, took 20 seconds or something, thats all.

Hello
can't understand what all the crying is about!I would rather wait for a decent firmware to be released from se rather than a quick bodge job firmware! Also the phone aint that unstable on the present firmware if you think it is you should throw it in the bin and buy a nokia and Stop twisting on and on!
Kind regards

I've got a K800i on Orange UK, firmare is R1CB001. For other phones have Orange allowed firmware updates to take place on their phones ?
My phone seems to crash when listening to radio/media player and I get an incoming call. Seems to be around weak signal areas.
My phone also stops receiving and being able to make calls, full signal shown on phone. Orange reckoned it was cause "a transmitter was down". I can smell it from here......

wonder if they improved the message inbox.. it lags and stalls once you get over a few hundred messages...makes it impossible to organize for deleting etc..

I hear you dude. I have been saying this for about 2 weeks, but you have your whiners, crybabies, complainers, etc..... that in the end will still find a reason to complain no matter what. If you look at their names within this thread, you will see their history of complaining. Some people need a life outside of their phone.
Posted by datboililp
..anyone that updated their firmware..
is there still lag on the animated wallpapers?
Posted by xpander
@datboililp
Can't say that I've noticed any lag to speak about since flashing to the latest firmware.
Posted by ghostfreak
I've noticed no lag either

Regarding the phone problems. Yes Orange are correct. Orange over the last 3 weeks have had major problems over there 3 g networks. People havnt been able to make and receive calls as well as sms. The fault should have now been fixed.
Even though you have a full signal doesnt mean anything, Your simcard is linked to a transmitter some where in the uk. if anything happens to the transmitter you are normaly transfered onto a 2ns and 3rd one as a precaution. However if these are congested then the calls dont always go through.
Hope this helps

The answer is yes. However Orange have to approve the Firmware from SE, So th update may not be on straight away. Coul be a month or so later. On occasions the updates have been on a couple of days after.
Hope this helps.

when will the firmware upgrade be available?
Posted by gareb
When it's ready.

Received repaired K800 after software became corrupted.
New phone says "Charging Alien Battery" whilst charging.
Posted by drich290195
thats funny!!!!
Posted by mwarner
> New phone says "Charging Alien Battery" whilst charging.
That usually means that the battery is not an original SE one. I would check it and possibly return it if it is not an original. When SE phones detect an 'alien' battery they charge it in safe mode, which is usually slower.
Posted by O2 K800i
That's funny!!! - ha
Phoned O2 - blew their heads off. New phone on its way. Sent the replacement back via recorded. If you ever have cause to speak to Vincent at O2 repairs please say hello. 3rd handset better work or I will terminate contract early.
@MWarner - phone and battery are SE original BST-33 - phone didnt charge at all after 5 hours. In fact we started at 64% and ended at 27%. This handset was a repair replacement - in other words it is not new but a repaired handset from someone else. Guess they forgot to repair it! P.S. - at least I could get into the Games/Apps folders (whilst the battery was charged).
Ho-hum - back to this rubbish little Nokia.

okay well... in the media player of R1CB001...
a lot of my ID3 tags are cut off.. and they don't scroll either.
is this fixed in the new firmware?
or if not, does anyone know how to fix this with R1CB001 ?

Ditto! I'm not sure whether to expect them to scoll or not, but I would certainly expect them to not truncate at 11 characters. It's only some select albums for some bizarre reason. And they have completed ID3 details in iTunes.

If I was to debrand my K800i via Wotanserver, it's currently on Orange. How do I go about getting all the connection settings etc ?
What about Java certificates etc ?
Posted by O2 K800i
@Pebb - goto www.sonyericsson.com type in your mobile number and they will text them to you.
@ALL - had enough of SE and new technology - bought K510 - it is all I need and hopefully will work. K800 still selling for £180 unlocked so will pocket £130.
LOL

Pebb You will not need to download anything if you reflash the phone with generic software.
New 3g phones find there own settings. When you switch the phone on for the first time all you will need to do is follow the steps and the phone will download the all the settings and install them. Regarding the Java Certificates again the phone will do what ever it needs to work.
You will have no problems at all. I have debranded a few k800 from orange and havnt had one problem. I have also done a w800i as well and havnt had any problems.
If you need any more info then please ask.
Hope this helps

It's the beginning of the 38th week, right? So....

So no software on SEUS.
What more do want us to say? It is not there, but I might be able to help you with upgrading your phone.
Where are you from.
Can you get to PayPal or WOTAN servers.
