interesting stats

what interested me too was the "People who visit this page also visit:" where it mentions the christersson.org, a site that provided great software for phones in the early days but which still says its receiving 1500 visits a day!

a similar thread here, but the stats are off a bit:

hmmm...you know i wouldn't be suprised if it's telling porkey pies that website! lol - and also, for one i don't have their toolbar installed...so i can't be part of it...and it seems alot faster than many internet sites that i go onto regularly (e.g. ebuyer lol - going on there now to check the price of air con lol)

@govigov

I think that's 164.5 people out of every million that Esato reaches each day.

I used to have his WEBSITE ranking thing back then and the last time I saw Esato's about some 2 months back was it's at - 14K + ranking . . .

Posted by shaliron
Well Esato is quite a bit faster than some local sites that I frequent.

Around 2004-2005, Esato made it GOOD in the rankings . . . but during this year - 2006 . . . it's ranking dropped . . . I just forgot the name of that software that I had back then . . . to know the ranking of the sites . . . I guess my Dad removed it in our PC !

Here is your old thread Jojo, it seems Esato has climbed a bit in the rankings!

Posted by rockygali
well i guess other local/regional threads are poppin up... and that made others to mingle within their vicinity...

oh well.. still Esato for me... it has been a habit. ; )

@meths - Thanks for that OLD link . . . however, I let my Dis install that thingy again - Morpheus software . . . and Esato is arnked - 24, 552 (with a 5-star rating, Yahoo is at #1 though has only a 4-star rating . . .) at the moment way, way too low I guess . . . Laffen should make some 'magic' here, say like posting sexy babes with mobile phones around their necks on the home page !

According to the same site, it says that we are more popular than mobileburn.

. . . . H m m m m, and how about Howard Forums

Posted by brix25
Ocassionally I pop on over to HoFo to check up on what's happening in the US. Compared to Esato I find too many kids over at HoFo with crazy pics in signatures which makes easy browsing impossible.

@JN
Howard forums is ranked 2239.

I don't think that Alexa is a true indicator of the popularity of websites. First of all my local library website is ranked at 3662. Umm, not very accurate to me. I mean, only people who use internet explorer for one can contribute, as the Alexa toolbar doesn't work with Firefox or Safari, and people who use the Alexa toolbar aren't exactly a random percentage, i.e. not a home shopping mum...

@brix - When we joined way back in 2003, I manage to converse with some 'kiddos' here at Esato thru the forums, The Real Spawn is one, they are talented kids indeed . . . Jim is a kid too I know , a good one at his age as well

@JN: My last post was not intended to offend the kiddos who post about mobile technology, it was more of a complaint against the layout over at HoFo which seems to be more about the look then substance. I suppose different strokes for different folks.

@jojo

Jim? Brussels Jim? I thought he was older

Don't know why He comes across as being very sensible. Any way, back on topic......

@sharon - WOW . . . HoFo site is really burning pal . . .

@brix - Yeah . . . and I am more on looks than . . . substance

@golden - I agree with the latter part of your post matey . . . I really know he is still a kid . . . less than 20 years old
