MMM - Accoustic folder seems the same as W800 R1BD.
Posted by bbsc
The files were extracted with Setool and a proper script.
Setool is service soft, it's not free.
Unfortunately, there's no free method of getting these files at the moment.

whats up guys, if you want to 100% get rid of any hissing noises in your mp3 try better headphones. im using anti-hiss driver aswell, the hiss using the hpm-70 doesn't bother me btw. its too small
im using hq-1300 now and it cancels out the hissing in the phone itself. it also cancels out any mp3 hissing within the mp3.
btw its a full-sized headphone.

hi guys:)
Which one is the best Acoustic driver??
I tried a few but they didn't like me!
Can you give me one good driver
Thax a lot
Posted by tranced
have one question. is this ok?
are these files purple files ok in ifs/settings/ acoustic folder?
are these folders ok in ifs/settings/ acoustic folder?
Posted by QuickShare
words in Purple indicates that it's a .rar folder/files format . They are not suppose to be in the acoustic folder or else there'll be a problem / bug appear.. might even ruin the whole sounds system on your K750..
words in White indicates that it's a typical folder that contain one or more files inside.. and they are not suppose to be in that acoustic folder aswell ..
i hope im right about that.. correct me if im wrong
Posted by tranced
i know white are folders and purple are .rar files. but what i want to know if they're ok in the acoustic folder or should i erase them? i have experienced a bug with the ringtone.
Posted by QuickShare
nop.. they are not suppose to be in the acoustic folder

I tried these files and put them in the acoustic folder. The speaker volume is just amazing. Very high volume and a good sound.
My only problem is ... A few weeks ago my sennheiser cx300 broke down. I went to the shop and they were replaced by a new pair (2y garantee) I had to wait for them for a few days, so I used my hpm70.
I now got new sennheisers back and it looks like I have hissing again.
I tried everything. Deleted everything from the acoustic folder. Replacing files by different files ...
I ended up with the W810 acoustic folder.
So can someone please tell me which PHF_2_play.apf has the less hissing?
O, don't use the displaydriver in the W810 rar! It just gives you a white screen when starting the phone!

i was curious about this aswell.. how did they manage to get the inner part of the W810 and post em up here? please don't tell me it's from Far

a few posts back BBSC is saying this:
"The files were extracted with Setool and a proper script.
Setool is service soft, it's not free.
Unfortunately, there's no free method of getting these files at the moment."
Wonder how this works ...

ok it's done by SEtool .. i'll stay out from it

So do I
I'm not the author of this soft, you can try to ask HIM.
Nevertheless, the files are real.

i can't get rid of the hissing on my w800. i'm using sennhesier cx 300 headphones(don't have the original ones) and the hissing is very annoying(well hardly noticeable at full volume but annoying as hell at low vol). it only starts when then i hit the "walkman" button so the phones don't have any problem.
i've tryed replacing my audio drivers with everything posted on this topic(i've read it all). none of them gets me rid of the hiss!!, what's more, i don't notice any change at all whether i'm using my original drivers(have r1bc002) the w810i ones, the ones posted by askd, or "the best" ones posted by a guy here. i've tried even the loud ones, but nothing changes, no sound level, hiss still there, nothing.
i'm using far manager as suggested, it connects to my phone, if i copy the w810 drivers(they are less in number than w800) they are still w810 ones when i reconect my phone later, so the copying does work.
but there is absolutely no diference regarding audio capabilities. i usually remove my battery after i finish copying and disconect my phone from the pc, i've even tryed master ressetting it, but nothing absolutely nothing changes.
please post some suggesting, the hiss is simply killing me.

Can somebody please upload all these driver mods and extra files to another server other than Rapidshare please....
NTL service provider seem to use an invisible proxy so i can't use them...
Thanks n advance...

I used modded acoustic file "handset_0_call", and my ear speaker volume is excellent. But my phone just have to be sent for service due to noise created together with call sound during phone call, and SE service station had to replace my ear speaker.
Does modded handset_0_call damage ear speaker due to loud sound?
Has somebody got same problem?

Until now, sorry guyz, what i saw was: No real Improvements of Hissing soound Reduction, Bass quality and Bass Loundness
Loudness in general: yes, but for what when u can use megabass with that level?
Dont tell me that u got really excellent sound quality after using those drivers
Posted by galahs
Thanks to Mongoose3800 and Aksd for their wonderful work.
The hiss has not been completely removed but it is heaps better.
I can hear no difference between Mong's and AKSD's so I'm not sure I can really recommend one over the other. (What are the differences that make each decide theirs is better???)
Just on my experience for using FAR, I found this forum helped me solve a few issues I had in getting my phone detected by FAR...
http://myforum.lasyk.net/showthread.php?t=25656
Now if only we could add WMA support
Posted by laurentg0
Hi everybody,
Many, many thanks to aksd and Mongoose3800
One, year ago, I bought a w800i, just because of the "Walkman" brand.
I got a bad suprise when I started listening my mp3s... The sound was hissing and, even worse, cracking at low volume (like a speaker out of order).
2 times, I sent the phone to the technical center, explaining what was the problem. They did nothing.
I started complaining to the SE customers service 6 monthes ago...They said my request was transfered to the management...I'm still waiting for an answer
I was about to write them a last flame, and to post here what I think about SE customers service
...and I discovered this thread
Guys, you make me feel less stupid, my Walkman is not useless anymore.
Like galahs, I'm not able to choose between askd and Mongoose3800 loudV2 drivers (low driver is too low and I don't ear less hissing)
I only notice hissing sound when I stop playing music, but it's really, really low. As soon as you start playing music, it's very hard to ear anything even on cool music.
And the cracking sound has gone at low volume, now the music is clear
Once again, Thank you for the time you spended on your hex editor,
to achieve these drivers. You save my life
And shame on SE support
Best regards,
Laurent
P.S.

chestervn, this is a mp3-phone, don't expect "excellent sound quality". I'm a HiFi lover and I can tell you that the sound from my W800I is far from the original CD sound.
But that's not the point. If you got the hissing/cracking sound (especially the cracking sound of old speaker at low volume), these drivers are huge improvement, now the sound is clear. (and there is hissing reduction, even if it isn't totally gone)
Of course, if you don't get these problems before, you may be a little bit disapointed, but believe me, if you do, it changes the life
Posted by galahs
Just out of curiosity, has anyone sent this solution to Sony Erickson?
At least then they could direct people to a solution and at the same time save face on their prized Walkman reputation.
Posted by TheNerd
what files should I download to increase the earpiece volume?

Do you really think SE ignores sites like esato.com or forums.se-nse.net...
SE sells more than 40 million units/year. I don´t know how many k750/w800, maybe 1 million.
Look at the number of downloads for these drivers, around 1200...
IMHO, they just don´t care about 0.1% people. The Walkman reputation is saved
Posted by galahs
Well I would have actually preferred it if they decided to add the solution found here to their next firmware update (not that its likely to occur).
I'm still wonderring. Whats the main difference between Mongoose3800's patch and Aksd's modified w900i file?
Posted by TheNerd
what is the best driver??? (quality and loudness).
Posted by galahs
If your talking the head phones, either mongoose3800 loudV2 or Askd's file found on the first page of this forum is best (Final Beta)

Can anybody please upload PHF_2_play.apf.LOUDV2 to another upload service. Ive tried rapidshare 3 times and all I keep getting from those idiots in a javascript message is "Download-Ticket nicht bereit. JavaScript Fehler?". Im not using any rapidshare tricks and rapid usualy works.
Thanks.

You can download the filedirectory from http://www.topsony.com/foro/local_links.php?catid=13 and pack up the files, take the acoustic files from ifs/settings/acoustic. But i think you have to register at Topsony.com before you can download the file.

hiya,
i looked back and forth through this thread, and either files are missing, or some information is not clear or too ambiguous for me.
i hate to be asking this, but i am getting a w810i this week, and i'd like to be able to remove the hiss and distortion immediately when i notice it.
which files would i need to accomplish that?
i have access to a pc and will have the data cable which comes with the phone. furthermore i am going to download the FAR Manager.
is it possible at all to get good results, or should i get another phone and an ipod?
thank you greatly for your help and advice,
dual

I have a k750,
1. I´ve seen some use w810 acoustic files, are there a difference between those and the ones for 750/800 (which are the same right?) in sound quality?
2. I´ve tried the default media player, and a really believe I need something else. Are the one avaible with the 800 firmware worth the upgrade? I´ve been using the Rockbox firmware on my iPod so I guess I´ve gotten a bit spoiled with functionality.
3. Is there any alt. media player? like a simple software app?
EDIT:
the Davinci app told me that I have a CID49 phone, how does this affect my flashing and file replacement plans?
