However guys keep in mind that the 903 is already 1yr old... SE should have a BETTER quality in terms of 3.2MP quality... but i dont see much.. and 903 quality is a little better than K800...

Trust me im an SE fan.. but a 1yr gap... K800 shud hv the best quality.. but i dont see much... i love the UI anyways.. Will get the K800 soon and do som comparison..

I think due to 903 bein a huge phone.. is bcoz of its optical zoom.. either ways its still a phone of its kind..

I agree.

The Sharp 9 series is one of a kind. Even the 902 seemed to be years ahead, and the 903 isn't a new phone.

It really does not matter. The size of K800 is still the limiting factor of what can be squized in the phone to produced better pics (tiny sensors and optics really does not help at present time). Now show me a sharp of equal size as K800 (or smaller) that can match 903 in picure quality.

Here are some pics I took over the last few days including the Pakistan vs International XI charity cricket match as well as a cool pic in the cab to which I addedd some "bits" lol:

Anyone know what this car is? Saw it being transported through Kensington the other night.

Some pics were on Zoom and in the rain which didnt help!

Well got me K800i yesterday & i am impressed at the moment.

Anyway, heres a couple of pics of my nitro monster truck taken today.

The settings are as the phone left the box.

nice car

@ JiggyJaggy

Maybe wrong but im pretty sure its a Koenigsegg CCR or CCX

Sweet motor whatever it is.

Posted by jleosza
maybe but check the wheels and the side spoiler... my new task is try and find what model is that one......

Posted by Nebbs
Yeah i know the wheels are different but the spoiler....well we have a tv program in the uk called topgear and they raced one round a track to see how fast it could do the lap, well the driver spun it off and crashed it, keonigsegg took it back and fitted a spoiler to that specific one to create more down force, might be an optional extra. Dont know if there maybe any uk topgear fans who also saw this episode???

You can see from http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/powerlaps.shtml that it is the fastest supercar around the topgear track!!! (Notice it points out with spoiler on the list)

P.S. just noticed that the wing mirrors are in a total different location....guess it aint the keonigsegg then...lol

yeh I saw that episdoe to, but this car is definately not a Koenigsegg.

Here's one I took after work today.

I was testing the landscape mode to see how good the image stabilizer is.

Posted by 02
K i've seen the K800, and im surprised its that thin!!! Nice!! Som where a normal sony cyber-shot size...!!! Very impressive and all!!!

However when i compare the size with my sharp903, I saw a huge factor why the 903 is bigger. Coz the 903 has a 2'4 QVGA screen size... compare to K800 its no match wth the beatiful 903 big screen. Secondly 903 has dual stereo speakers, i dont see that on the K800.. correct me if im wrong in this one. Thirdly, 903 is a clam shell phone, it is fact that clam shell phone do get a lil bigger n thinker than normal bar phones.

when u put that in mind, k800 size isnt that all impressive as i tot at 1st sight... imagine 903 in bar phone style... that 903 will be a longer and a lil wider as it has a huge screen, put away the optical zoom... the 903 might be juz a lil thinker than the 903.

conclusion, SE have been making thick phones for its previous models, and when this 1st slim body k800 omes out.. everyone goes Woah.... and comparing them with their previous SE models..

re the car:

The car looks like a kit car. You can tell by the body form, the spoiler doesn't really appear to be an OEM manufactuer's model...

Not a Kon def.

i also see Top Gear here in Brazil, its shown in BBC channel.

The 903 screen is the same resolution, so you have to decide whether you want bigger pixels or not - as the information is the same.

I think the K800 wins on the user interface by miles, and the web browser, RSS reader, improved email, update service, blogging and loads of other things (Xenon, BestPic..) is a long way ahead. So, you are left with the size of the phone and the fact that it is the same resolution as a phone a year older.

However, while the 903 has optical zoom, it didn't take amazing pictures. In many tests, including our own done in 'lab conditions' the K750 proved a better all-rounder. Sony has at least mastered the post image processing, although in auto mode the K800 does still look like it needs some tweaking (hopefully not too far away). The 903 does better video though, mind you - what doesn't?!

I think the K800 isn't perfect (some photos are not focussed properly) but it's the best all round camera phone with a lot of functionality that makes it nearly as good as a smartphone for what it can do out of the box. The music player is excellent too, with A2DP, fade in/out when pausing etc. What a shame it didn't get the Walkman player functions...

@jiggy - Nice cartoon - effect was that done using your K800 or was it Photoshopped?

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Not it wasnt't a cartoon effect, I just added some cliparts to it on the K800i itself.

@ All: IT def wasnt the car you said. This car has a flat nose cose at the front like an Enzo

Taken at a car meet, lighting wasn't very bright that evening.

Wouldn't say a great improvement over the k750i and I still prefer the n80 quality in daytime shots..

Here's a macro shot of a flower out my back garden. Just trying to test it as i got my phone today!

I can't seem to get good clear shots though with normal shots, either with focus set to Auto or Infinite. S'pose i'll have to try harder.

Here's one I took of a mate's BBQ late in the night:

We ran out of food so we decided to keep the fire going by chucking in some wood. Taken with the flash of course.

A picture of the fire without flash and on auto mode. Not too much glare if I say so myself.

Nice pics everyone

Posted by RandomHero
@ jiggyjaggy it looks like some sort of Ultima or Radical.

Definately not a koenigsegg CCR or CCX

Nor is it a TVR, they have different light clusters at the back.

Posted by >500
could be a Noble that car?

Posted by JiggyJaggy
@ Random Hero, I think It was an Ultima, remmebr a "U" on the back or word begining with a U and there arent' that many manufactuers out there starting with U! lol

Here are some more I took over the weekend:

Good pics.

about the photos... nice

I just noticed that when you used their settings provided it will give damn good results!!! Looks like SE is trying to make us maximize their new camera functions on their new 2 buttons ^^. So future firmware releases surely will enhance the phone's camera abilities. See my pictures below:

This is taken in automatic mode (without flash) I guess.

This is taken with maximum iso settings, also without flash.

This is taken in twilight mode with stabilizer ON. Notice the BIG difference!!!!

So, SE SURELY can produce good firmware in near future ^^ I'm waiting for it !

at first i thought this was an ultima kit car, crowned the fastest supercar in the world! I don't know if that means it faster then the Koenigsegg CCX or not, but it has the world record for 0-100-0 for a street car. http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/gtr/

But the tail lights don't match up, so i think it might be the new delfino http://www.delfino.co.uk/frameset.htm

Posted by jcwhite_uk
It isnt the delfino. Here is a picture of the back of a delfino:

Nothing like the picture posted.

Posted by willymcd
from looking at the k800 pics they look to be a much improvement over my k750. the best improvement seems to be for low light, the k800 is way way better, the noise levels are great and the purple fringing is minimal, very good! also the flash is sweet, can actually take pics in the pub now. other then that the pictures look marginally better for normal light, better focused and riches colors maybe. overall much better then the k750 and the low light and night picture capabilities makes this camera look great.
I will have to get the k790a when it arrives in the U.S..

Heres a couple of pictures taken today:
Is there something the other side of those trees that God is trying to show us?:

I just got taken out in one last sunday!!!!, my gfs neighbour just finished building his after 3 years, I was such a twat for not taking some pics on my K8 but I thought it would be a bit rude. Those things are bloody fast. it does the 0-100-0 in sub 10 secs

Posted by jmcomms
I wholeheartedly recommend EVERY K800 owner takes the time to mess around with the various presets to get the best results.

Auto doesn't seem to do a great job in all conditions, so until you've used the others, it's a bit harsh to have a go at the quality of the camera. It's not solely down to the sensor/lens but firmware - which can, and will, be optimised in due course.

I've taken good shots indoors and out, and in low to non-existant light. Everyone compares the K800 with the bulky Sharp 903 but that is nowhere near as adaptable.

Posted by JiggyJaggy
The more I think about it the more I recall it saying Ultima on the back of the car and on the rims, but it def had a nose cone like an Enzo....a one off perhaps?
