Spot lightmetering, fine picture quality, shitty lighting condition, altou raind does not show on pictures.

Phone has booted a few times, and charger was DOA.

Posted by laffen
That's why I have created the Phone Photos section. Where everyone with a K800 (or other model) can upload example photos.

@toroa

Is the second picture is of the old Telenor headquarters?

Posted by toroa
Yes, its photograped in Pilestredet, with the old Telenor HQ at the right side of the picture.

Well spotted laffen

Pretty good pics. Overcast, so the camera is struggling to get enough light.

Posted by blackspot
What's with the aberrations all around? Are they using cheaper / poor quality lenses?

Posted by celltech

The quality of the photos won't be much different than the k750 will they? I'm sure the more pixels basically means the bigger the photo will look on screen without the picture being distorted?!

Posted by bluechips
pictures are actually pretty good. seems like refined, stable and really smooth. unlike k750 sometimes you will need timing, ambiance and focusing to get the perfect shot.

i'm greatly impressed with k800i.

More pixles makes it possible to show more details. If you shrink a K800 picture to same size as K750 pictures, you'll probably see the difference. On printed paper (normal photo size you keep in your photo album), its probably even more noticable. A thumb rule is that 3 mpx is the minimal pix resolution you need to get decent paper prints.

Maybe it's just me but considering that this is a CyberShot model, I was actually expecting sharper / clearer images. The images are generally good though, I can't see any significant noise even with the poorly illuminated subjects.

I totally agree with Pow and Dreamfish ! Looks like the camera quality of the K750i is much OK . . . Looks like there's not much difference from the 2 MP to the new - 3.2 MP . . . maybe we can spot a huge difference when it's already - a 5 MP camfone

I agree. There isn't really a largely noticeable difference between k750 and k800. I might just buy k750 and wait for the next generation with the purported 5mp camera?

Posted by rockygali
surely you cant have much from a 3.2mp knowing that youve came from a 2mp camphone... theres not much to see but more pixels and thats about it... but the good thing here is that there are other features present on K800 that you would like to try or maybe have it for safe keeping... the other features are still good to have.. in media player... GUIs... etc etc.. its all in there... not just the cam... tho we cannot regret the cam's capability... its one of the best there is in the market... and its not that bad i tell yah... just dont try rush things... SE will sonn get there.

Posted by *Jojo*
Yup, just like what I saw at the Canon's Chart:

3-4 MP Digicams ( almost the same)

5-6-7 MP Digicams (almost the same)

There's quite a difference with te 8 MP digicams

9-10-11 MP Digicams (almost the same)

There's quite a difference with the 12 MP digicams

13-14-15 MP Digicams (almost the same)

There's quite a difference with the 16 MP digicams . . . and so on . . .

I guess this method will also be the 'same' with those of megapixel camera fones

Posted by goldenface
Actually, laffen would prefer if photos were posted in the Phone photos section of the site.

Thanks

Some more shots from Stockholm this afternoon

More pictures from Stockholm 29.06.2006

Posted by dreamfish
Them pictures are really really good!

Posted by goldenface
Impressive.

I will put my neck out and say that I can see a difference, not much but those pics definitely look sharper. The image stabilisation probably helps alot.

Stockholm is nice and sunny today, then again so is Frodsham now.

I can deffinatly see the change in quality compared to some of the older pictures from the 2.0mp

Posted by goldenface
Likewise.

Anyone who says those pics are not good enough to print out needs new glasses!

Posted by Minstrel_Man
I've had this same discussion recently with people who cant notice the difference in digital and Hi Def.

Are these people blind?!

Got Sky HD 2 weeks ago and watching the footy on BBC HI DEF instead of comming through BBC through normal sky is amazing!

Posted by kulorex
guys, i think the camera quality will improve as SE releases subsequent firmwar updates. lets just be patient SE is good at this. my only concern is, BUGS. i hope this one won't get major ones.

Posted by bluechips
pictures are really good, the best in mobile. i'll grab one maybe after 2 months when the price is down.

Posted by bavlondon2
Could someone post some videos taken with it please?

Posted by Digelius
Three pictures from Stockholm!
