Possible to run a setup script on t68i ?

Hello, I'm relatively new to this mobile phone stuff, so forgive me if this is an obvious/stupid question.
I have an issue with my O2 branded t68i in that whenever I turn it off, all my carefully entered Vodafone settings (data, comm accounts) disappear, leaving only the O2 ones.
Is there some way that I could run a script to set them up quickly again?
Vodafone manage to do it by sending me an SMS when I make a request on their website - how does THAT work?
Thanks, Len

firstly, welcome to esato!
okay, down to business - the way it works from the vodafone website, is the script is sent as an sms (text), which then the phone can recogonise that it is a script to set up the wap settings. from what i know, no it's not possible to have a script on the phone. the only way i can see you being able to keep wap settings on your t68i, is to flash the phone using DaVinci, to generic t68i firmware, then you will be able to use the phone to its full capability rather than being a single-operator minded phone. for help with this ask others, because i have never done it, but know a bit of the theory behind it.
ofcourse, your other option is to use o2, but that's not what your here for....so....
hope this helps - as always if i am wrong, please correct me.

Thanks awave - more or less what I thought.
As you say
"the script is sent as an sms (text), which then the phone can recogonise that it is a script to set up the wap settings"
That's exactly the question I'm asking - what IS this script language ?
