To listen to Radio whenever I select Radio from Menu, it shows a message "Please insert the handsfree".

I frequently listen to FM Radio... So every time I need to insert handsfree to use RADIO. The worst situation is while travelling. I dont like carrying handsfree.

So friends, is there any trick by which we can switch on the radio without inserting handsfree???

There probably isn't a trick. The hands free cable acts as the aerial. So, even if you could find a way not to use the cable the reception would probably be pretty bad. After all, the reception with the cable can be a bit questionable at times.

The frequency is very high for Radio mirchi.

Guys! will some1 please tell me the trick

I did see a while back on esato about able 2 use the radio without having a hands-free kit plugged in to make it work. It think it was something to do with a staple inserted on the bottom of the connector holes and it makes it work.

I'll try to find it for you.

Thanks buddy, for the links

Your welcomed. You can also try to goggle your query and see what result that gives you.

Remember every mobile connector/fast port will be different as well.

@widget

WELCOME!!!

if you have to have an aerial, why wont it work when you are recharging the phone??

Wont the charger lead also act as an aerial or will there be too much interferance???

Posted by Paul_s
I'm not sure about the interference, but while the charger *could* maybe in theory be used, that would need it to have extra pins - the charger has 2pins I think, the rest are used for data and handsfree. That's how it detects your handsfree is plugged in, when two of the Fastport pins are connected.

Also, why would you want to listen to the radio while it's charging, when most likely you're at home with a radio closeby anyway?

has anyone tried plugging in a connector with all of the pins on it ?
