Yahoo mobile & phone shut down

I have experienced my phone shut down whenever I am in the process of logging on to Yahoo mobile services. I have not been able to access my mail. I am on V mobile Nigeria and use an L G U8330. Is the fault from the phone or from the carrier ? I have also had the same experience with some other sites. Any experiences and solutions to share? I am waiting......
