Probably this is an old old question, but how can you transfer
SMS messages from a K750i to PC? I have a lot of SMS messages, some of sentimental value, and I'd like to archive them on PC...but it seems impossible without retyping them. There must be a better way !
Is there any third party software that enables one to do this?
The Sony Ericsson file management software does not access the SMS memory. The Sony Ericsson helpline said that they did not view the transfer of SMS messages as a requirement for a mobile device (!)
The only work-around the helpline could suggest was to forward the SMS messages one by one as emails, which would result in a network charge for each email sent! ...and (sorry for my incompetence) I can't even figure out how to forward an SMS message as an email. So I'm stuck...
Can anyone help?

floats mobile agent is da best software for SE phones
now fma version 2 is out n its free
other versions r also available which r in beta which contains password protection etc.
sony ericsson phone is another software.
its ok; here u can use password protection.
i am using both
n i prefer fma
u can even answer call through tat
wonderful isnt it?

I also recommend MPE. It has a specific option to Archive SMS on PC.

Hi! I have the Sony Ericsson K800 phone, and would like to get my SMS safe to my computer. I've tried the above mentioned FMA and MPE, but both have problems for me:
In FMA the program doesn't get the dates of outgoing SMS - and when i save the messages, all the dates disappear (also from incoming). Also, you can't open the saved files in any text format..
In MPE it creates a nice open office text document from the messages. BUT MPE doesn't get the messages from my phone's memory - only from SIM-card...
Is there any program, that helps with those problems: gets the dates, gets messages from phone memory AND saves the messages in text format (with all the details)?
Thank you in advance (I already got about 500 messages -with great emotional value for me- disappearing with FMA and now crying about it..)

MP3 gets the messages also from the phone memory.

Susanna, do all your messages leave the incoming/outgoing times and dates off? I have a whole load of messages that I want to keep but have been on my phone for months!

MPE has the dates but don't get the messages from phone memory. It seems to do it(the number of exported messages is the right when it loads them) but when it stops, they are nowhere to find... ???Where do I find them?
I didn't get your question.. So my phone naturally has the dates, but using FMA they disappear from outgoing messages (and there's a date of exporting the messages to FMA). Now the FMA doesn't work, so I can't check this thing for you.

Download the version 1.5 of MyPhoneExplorer This is the first version supporting the K800.. Version 1.5 was released yesterday October 22nd.

I have tried MyPhoneExplorer and FloAts Mobile Agent with limited connectivity and can read the SIM but not the phone.

Bugger. I downloaded from http://www.fjsoft.at/en/ and it doesn't support my phone, W900i.
MyPhoneExplorer is designed for SonyEricsson K700,K750,K800 - but it works with every SonyEricsson-phone exept the symbian-based phones (P-series, M600, W950)

MPE works very well with my K800i ! Messages all fully displayed with names and correct dates!

I took all of your advise and I downloaded MPE. I have made it so that everything works, i can send texts and call people ect...
But when i ask it to download all of my text messages from my phones inbox it downloads them and then it does not display anything in the inbox window.
If anyone had a similar problem could you please tell me how to fix this?!?!

well... i have a problem with no outgoing messages dates in MPE. Also this program doesn't show all receivers in smses sent to group of receivers. It shows only first. I have a W810i. can u help me?

hai everyone. I have W550i type and in my PC suite I can store my msg to computer. But, lately I have formatted my windows, and I must instal SE PC suite again. and I wanna ask, how to search file that contain my msg that I save before in my hardisk? I dont know what type file it is. Thanks ^.^

I have a Sony Ericsson W850i and have, on the advice of this forum, located & installed My Phone Explorer 1.6.6, their latest version.
It handles all up&download functions easily & I have finally managed to save sms from my phone on the computer and delete them off the phone - again, using the computer and at high speed!

Hope people don't think i'm being awkward for no reason, but....
My k800i died last Friday. I turned it off and it refused to turn back on. Its still under warantee so its being repaired, but that doesn't help my current situation. I've never used any other connection software but the SE PC Suite and I know that it can back up text messages. Luckily, I backed up my phone before it went down, so everything should still be intact.
However, I was wondering if anyone knew how to access the text messages that are saved using SE PC Suite? They normally appear when you plug the phone in, but that can't exactly be done right now. I've checked without having the phone plugged in, and I can't see them. Does anybody know where they might be stored on the HDD of my laptop as .txt or .xml files that i could view. I really need to find someone's number...
