Wap settings dont work. - Esato archive

I'm from India and I use Airtel(Delhi). I logged onto the SE site and downloaded the WAP SETTINGS. but when the settings arrived on my mobile and when i tried to INSTALL it, it said something like SETTINGS DENIED...is it the handset or my NETWORK PROVIDER???i use w800i. though i can connect to AIRTEL-LIVE, INDIATIMES,YAHOO and YAHOO PEPSI, none of the other sites can be connected...not even our own ESATO, sob! sob! anybody willing to help???...THANX !

i just got to know from someone that the wap services are availed only on the POST-PAID connection. but thanx neways...yes my phone is branded...bought it from an authorized dealer...got it unpacked infront of me...!!!

@born, by "branded" i actually meant if your phone is manufatured for a specific operator. Like vodafone or cingular..
