The firmware is the operating system in the phone.. You can update your phones firmware with SonyEricsson Update Service, check update service page for K750 for more info..

The first line is the firmware version number... and it's old... install the update service package on your pc and then you can update your phone.

Where it says R1L002 at the beginning bit of what you have written in your post.... that is the firmware of your phone.... and its old now....
You can download the latest version......
Goto the sony ericsson site and download the SEUS client and you willl need the usb cable to update with..... the one that would have come with your mobile phone.

when running the update service software you installed on your computer it gives you instructions what to do... follow the steps and it will update your phone
since it's an online update software it always uses the most current firmware version from

if you follow the steps and have a fully charged phone battery it will most likely update without any problem.... it checks which phone model you have in order to determine the right firmware version, so it can't be updated with the wrong firmware
if you want to update it with W800 firmware you can't use

hi. i just got the sony ericsson k750i. i'm currently updating the firmware, but it's been running for more than 5 hours now. does it normally take that long to update? and how much space does it need?

wow 5 hours? normaly it would take about 30 to at most an hour to update.
what internet connection do you have?

By the way...i just want to check what would happen if the process is stopped in the middle due to some problem with PC...
I have some HW issues with my PC...so sometimes it hangs up in the middle...just confirming before going ahead with the firmware update...

I have K750i which is generally a good phone but one thing that has always bugged me is that the volume for ringtones is not very loud on it.
1) Does Seus have the latest firmware for it (its an untouched generic
handset fully open to all networks).
2) Will it have louder ringtone volume?
3) Will I be ablet to use digital zoom in 2 megapixel autofocus mode as it
seems only able to do this in vga res which is poor?
