Just read some posts here about W810: LED flashing bug and more..is this common in all SE phones-that new phones ALWAYS perform 'bug'? K700 with bad battery and messed up phonebook,K750 with missing files in MSDP and hissing noise, dead phones after SEUS upgrade..and more? Why not releasing a phone with minimum bug other than forcing all to update again and again..

What might happen to K790/K800 then? I hope it won't surprise you with missing text ability, disabled video playback,messed-up file manager or anything..lol..who knows?

Thatīs the name of the game nowadays.. launch new models at least every three months or youīre dead in todays market.
Still, itīs a shame that phone manufacturers release public betas and nobody reacts and demands working phones.. instead we just rip the phones out of their hands, moan in forums such as this and come back for the next model etc etc.

Oh, and why donīt you use the 'edit' button instead of double posting?

Thats why I've stopped getting phones as soon as they are released, I reckon it tends to lead to disapointment as they dont tend to work as well as they should!

I definitely agree with this one ! A very calssic example was that of the K700i model !

/// tested its fones 3 years long in average. the market now a adys has changed, its faster, a new model is old within 2 monthes. no time to test the fones, barnds launch it ( have to 9 if they wanna avoid to loose the market for their products. its sadly good and bad in the same time, but thats the future...

All it would take was for Nokia to announce publicly that from now on they will have only annual launches of new phones. Then, they and the rest of the world would slow down the manic pace and actually beta test themselves before releasing stuff

Agreed, so basically this means that we can safely blame it on Nokia if our quickly released S//E's are "betaphones" - its all Nokias fault

Thats an explanation that works for me

But seriously.. Nokia DO push the tempo with their constant launch diarrhea.. for better or worse, i really donīt know.
All i know is that itīs a very rare occurance when i find a Nokia phone to my liking..
I canīt stand their menu system, Symbian lag-fest OS, and in 8 cases out of 10, the looks

who is mad? the mad itslef or the one who followes him?

the k750 I got from release still has bugs lol

I blame S.E.

I agree with this lol. I had the K700 as soon as it came out and it had real battery issues.

Stop buying new phones. You don't NEED them.

That'll teach 'em!

Yeah, just as the w900 shutting down by itself once per day, now that is what I call annoying.

anyone remember the standby clock freezing at night
on the k750???

i only updated once on my k750 to solve that problem
and learnd to live with the "minor bug's"

software lifecycle is too short...
SE needs to release phones after phones...
so, because of this...bugs are present and they will ever be present
learn to live with them...
this is how life is...

The trouble is that people buy the phone with the best statistics on the market. Software issues are secondary concerns. If SE had only just released the K750 (now that it is largely bug free) they wouldn't be able to compete too easily with the phones coming out this summer.

tbh....phones will never be perfect, so we just gotta learn to live with the lil bugs that comes as standard these days. Luckily my W810i hasn't many bugs like many ppl have mentioned such as flashing light etc, maybe they're on a time release and will kick in after so long. Then again, i think that is due to a locked phone.

Agreed that we don't need to upgrade as frequently, tho its psychological, one person who can afford to upgrade a new handset every month gives ppl the impression that their pretty new handset is going out, so ppl start ot follow suit and upgrade so they're not the only person in the group with an old handset as such. Pathetic really, but that's the flaw in the design of human beings....we're all pretty fickle.

All these things and other STUFFS are part and parcel of their marketing strategy ! If so, how come there were FEW (er) 'bugs' with Nokia's firmwares
