Hello fellow traders
I have noticed that several people have adopted their feedback score from the A-ZoTT into their signatures. This is great and I am pleased that it is working so well however it has recently been brought to my attention that some people may be displaying false or incorrect scores.
I think everyone here will agree that it is important that the feedback system is used properly and in an honest manner otherwise it is somewhat undermined and will not achieve its goal of helping people trade safely.
It may be the case that a user simply forgets to update their signature or makes a typing error but it may also be a deliberate attempt to appear as a trustworthy seller when they may not be.
To this end I urge everyone to remember to check peoples feedback in the A-ZoTT thread and not simply rely on what they tell you or display in a for sale thread or signature

I also note that it is the number formed is based on the number of individuals who post...
I have 28 +'s but the 'header' shows (+20,-0 ) i.e. 20 people posted.
What I am saying is for example, Merc_Man posted me 4+'s, each relating to different transations, so couldn't that be reflected in the 'header' ..

i never look on the feedback, no offence, but its not important for me if the one has got 100+ or not, i trust my sense and next to it i make steps to avoid "p***d" off...

@jn then ask for it. after every single deal i done here, the sellers asked me for a positive mark and they promised me the same, so we did it for each other.

It is the same for everyone, not just you and the reason is because if every single +ve was added to the score then that would give people the opportunity to create a false feedback rating simply by getting a friend or even making a second account to give themselves lots of feedback over and over again.
The current system helps to avoid this as they would only gain one point no matter how many times they did it

I know that... I didn't think I was being singled out from the large numbers of TT's!!!!
But I understand your explanation. I got some positives for sending people the free SIMs that I get, so I guess those positives are not so valid!
