Hello...
Is there any way to do this, but actually getting the playlist titles in the phone? (I know I could set a HID profile with shortcuts for WinAmp).
I read that using FMA and CarpeDi3m script that was possible, but then I read that K750 had incompatibilities with that...
Anyone cares to give a nice tutorial, answer if it can be done or enlighten us with his experience?
Thanks

i have no idea what you are talking about i dont think anyone do....
what do you mean??? i just play my music on the windows media player it does everything title and plays songs... what more do you want???

He knows exactly what he means
The only thing you can do is using fma and their scripting control, unfortunately it is not possible using hid profiles, it will be nice thou

Well... but, can it be done using FMA and the Scripting? Because, as I wrote, I read that it had incompatibilities with K750 and it didn't work!
Do you do it? How do you do it? Is this the correct "path"?:
1) Install FMA
2) Download the CarpeDi3m script and configure the WinAmp location by editing it
3) Asssign it in the 'Scripting' category on the FMA's Options
4) Restart FMA
5) ... Now what? I connect the phone via BlueTooth serialization but then what?
Thanks and please let me know!!!
EDIT:
A) Are there others scripts to do this?
B) Are there any other applications to do this? (PC Control?)
Remember... what I want to acomplish is to view a list of the tracks in the WinAmp playlist in the cellphone, then from there play them ('Next', 'Previous', select one, etc.) via BlueTooth commands.

Yeah I would really also love to see the name of the songs in the cellphone via BT.
And also playlists, though not too big, because it would be a pain in the neck

Salling Clicker can do all that.
www.salling.com
With iTunes it allows you to search your song library by artist, track, album. It shows the Track name, artist name, album name and album artwork on your phones screen. You can view your playlists, turn visuals on/off etc. It auto updates the display with track remaining time etc.
Don't know whether WinAmp allows all this, but iTunes is better anyway.

itunes seems to be good.... havent tested it out yet.......
sony ericsson developer site provides us with bluetooth remote control......
its cool.i now control all that i want on my pc using my phone....winamp,powerdvd,logon,logoff whatever...
But u can't see playlists... the application is very general....

WOW... downloading it at the moment...
I'm almost peeing in my pants from the emotion if it works as it says (for example; the pic you posted!)
Don't want to get too excited...

It certainly does work exactly as that picture - and a whole lot more besides.
It's not limited to just controlling iTunes either!

Oh yes... it really worked!
The good thing about it is that it's quite extensible; a Client-Server application to connect from J2ME to the computer... truly great!
Thanks for the tip pal!

im confuessed can someon explain to be what this is about? :s

Here is the scenario:
You have something playing in your computer (via Winamp, Media Player, iTunes, whatever) and from your phone, connecting to the PC via BlueTooth, you can control the software. You could do this with HID profiles BUT with this application, you will get feedback on your phone's LCD; i.e. track title, time, remaining time; even artwork when using iTunes...

Yeah I'm going to download it right away once I get to home from work, this seems pretty good and also I like a lot winamp, but I have to use anyway Itunes because of my Ipod :S.
Thanks man!

Well, you could use iTune, Winamp, any of them; you can switch which one you'll control from the client in the phone...
Suerte amigo!

Not too thrilled about the $24 price tag, considering I had nearly this much functionality with FMA (well, without the picture of the artist/album) for free (or donation to the developers). I'm gonna keep trying to get FMA working the way it did on my T637.

It depends how much you value your time at... Say you spend 4 hours or more 'trying to get FMA working' - that's just $6 an hour, even then you won't succeed in getting it to work as well as Clicker!
Plus the developer has spent ALOT of time making this and offers great support, regular updates and is constantly adding new features and new phone support, so $24 is not alot of money.
Not to mention the fact that Salling Clicker does do MUCH more than FMA. You really haven't tried Clicker if you think that FMA offers 'nearly this much functionality'.
But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

Of course, if I was already getting paid for my time (doing this at work for example

Well... as I doubted in my first post, you CAN'T make it work with FMA or PC Control since K750 and above, because you have no more access to the Accessories menu that they added to the phone...
Plus, there is no comparing IN HELL from that stupid Visual Script menu to a Client-Server scripted and robust application as Salling Clicker.
(yes, I joined to earn commissions from each license they sell)

The other possibility is getting this sort of functionality through a piece of software called BEMUSED and a J2ME client.
http://bemused.sourceforge.net/
http://elektron.its.tudelft.nl/~jkohne76/
I could get the bemused server to work but the phone (W800i) doesn't seem to be able to find the bemused server. The UIQ client works on my P900.

if you only want to control winamp like pause, next, previous track , vol up / down etc.,
you'd better build your own hid with sonyericsson BT remote control.
it takes about 5 minutes and free.
I use it.

Hi 392, I'm doing the HID thing already. It's not bad and perfect for PowerPoint presentations at work as HID profiles are OS independant.
The added functionality would be to have the Track name or other arbitary information from the PC show on the phone itself.
With FMA and my old T68, I could call up a sort of navigator whereby I could go through the filesystem of my PC to find MP3's that I could add to the playlist. Pretty useful if you have your pc hidden in a cabinet in a corner of the room.
