If its a camcorder I'd say definately not. If its a small stills camera I'd say usually you can't 'officially'. And it will most likely say on the ticket in the small print.

However, all the gigs I've been to there's always people with cameras (plus 100's of camera phones). They don't seem to bother too much if you just have a normal cheap-o happy snaps camera. If you went in there with £1000's worth of professional camera kit and lenses then I doubt they'd allow it.

It's a difficult one to tell though really. You could risk it and be lucky and get in no problems. Or you may be one of the ones they check and they'd be within thier rights to ask you to leave it outside (so make sure you park close!). Just try not to draw any attention to it on your way in.

well I have taken in a small digi cam before, but never a video camera, its not very big or expensive (small sony job) but I bought it just for this really and would be pretty gutted if It was taken off me

In the past i've seen a guy removed because he didn't stop filming with his camcorder at a gig after being asked to stop a few times, I Also saw a guy with a massive professional SLR with a huge telescopic lense at a gig before (he wasn't press) and he managed to get away with it for most of the gig until a security guy asked him to stop and to give him the film.

My advice would be to chance it, if you get away with it great if you don't its just one of these things.

I would suggest not to take the camera into the gig/concert,not worth the risk specially if they don't allow you to take it inside....best to stick with your cameraphone, quality won't be the best but its still better than not having any camera at all.

I went to a U2 concert and on the ticket it said no cameras or recorders but so many people had them and no one said anything. I suppose you could get away with a still camera but a camcorder may not be alowed.

Ive been to a few gigs now and taken a digital camera. As long as you can get it in then use it cus people still use their mobile phone cams anyway. They will frisk you on the way in and if they find it they will just keep it till the end of the concert. I say you take it, but thats me
