I've used Media Coder really well on my W800i.

mediacoder.sourceforge.net

Converted mp4, vob and avi with minimum of ease. Now have all the Nike JogaTV clips and a few episodes of Lock Stock on my mobile.

I'm using the easiest yet powerful video converter by Makayama Software, the Mobile Media Maker (Sony Ericsson) ver. 1.2.

The well designed software in converting videos to play perfectly with Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones and you can even convert DVD movies into 3gp with just a few clicks away!!!

So if you wish to have a try then PM me.

i have tried SUPER and it unfortunately(sp?) doesnt work on my w810i. but i tried the Sony Ericsson Media Studio and it works perfectly on the free version

Youve missed out mpegable. Its probably the best one. And when used in conjunction with Xilisoft dvd ripper they make a great combination.

Hi everyone,

Out of interest why (unless your phone won't play any other format or you're sort of space) are people still using 3gp?

Mp4 is so much better, it has improved audio and video!

***********************************************************
My vote has to go to Mysh's M3 (It's FREE) and produces amazing results!

Here is the latest version
http://www.vapulus.com/w900i/M3-0.8.8.4-Installer.exe

You need .net framework version 2 for M3 to work!
http://www.microsoft.com/down[....]DD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en

***********************************************************

I've tried all the popular encoders and for me M3 is the best so far.

Let me know what you think.

also, make sure you have genuine Microsoft windows to use m3, otherwise the nero thing will not download, therefore you wont be able to use it....ive got non original windows on my comp, some one on this forum pm'd a file that made my pc be recognised as a genuine product so it worked for me.......

Posted by harryville
I have to agree with dcuk!!

M3 is the best one!!

i use an online converter lol

This message was posted from a 3510i

I used ImTOO 3GP Video Converter, Xilisoft 3GP Video Converter (which are practicly the same) and 3GP Converter. These were great, but then i discovered Total Video Convertor which is so far the best for me.

Here's the link:

http://www.effectmatrix.com/

p.s. I heard everyone talking about SUPER, and I downloaded it, but I couldn't install it, so I don't know is SUPER better than Total Video Convertor.

Hi SaLiH,

Don't take this the wrong way but Admin will close this thread down if you offer serial numbers for legal software

might be an idea to edit your post!

I've used Total Video. It works. I downloaded some videos from youtube through the videodownloader extension go Firefox. Total Video was able to convert .flv straight into .mp4.

forget super and all the other apps: M3 is the new king

Posted by below24
I keep hearing about this M3 Program...

I have used it breifly but with not too much luck so i ditched it...

Posted by below24
@ares,

What would you say is soo good about M3, a basic sumary.

Cheers

Posted by Jools
I use iSquint (free) or VisualHub (paid-for).

Both produce excellent quality video very quickly for my K800.

Posted by PeterKay
The M3 works perfectly with the P990i - DVD quality.

Posted by ares
below24, i love it because it adresses P990 specific requirements regarding encoding, unlike other sw, and i think it also does it for other SE phones

Posted by below24
@ares, cool just trying to get opinions for my reviews and things like that.

I Like the fact that you can tweak the settings to my needs and quality is excellent.

try using WinAVI MP4 Converter and compare the results and post your opinion.

Massive thumb's up to mysh's M3. Its simply the best. Its real easy to use, you can create your own profiles, which is great for people like me, who use to have a k800i, but then went for a n73...absolutely spot on. And it's fairly quick to convert too...certainly quicker than imtoo, super!...

Posted by shery
i have a k800i and use SUPER encoder.the video quality produced is very low can this be improved by changing settings i am currently using 176*144 video scale size,4:3 aspect,25 frames?sec,96bitrate kbps and high quality is ticked.

Amen! I never ever have used a converter so fast, easy to use with such amazing quality.

Huge gratitude for Mysh.

Mysh is the new Legend for Video Encoding.
M3 is brill.

how 2 convert full lenghth movies.one dvd takes about 800mb and i have a gig card with 300 mb does that mean only one movie can be put in a phone at a time.
btw does k800i support 352*288.

Posted by rockygali
whati usually do is...

first convert the DVD movie onto mpeg/mpg format... without restraining video proportions. (e.g. using SUPER converter)

then convert this mpeg/mpg formats to fit your phone using softwares stated above.

ciao!

Posted by paul_06
psp one doesnt work good

Posted by QuickShare
did someone mentioned SUPER already? oh ok.. SUPER is great overall

Posted by Lanka92
Which setting is best to use on SUPER.
I have a K800i

Posted by shery
i think 30 fps with 320*240 resolution at 384kbps and high quality ticked.

Posted by ares
M3 High Quality setting all the way (25fps, 500kbs, 96kbs aac)

in a word: brilliant

Well, the n73 can support 352 x 288, so the k800 should be able too...
