Anyway, the
problem with the Mac was solved with a simple repairing. However, the DaVinci Code themes are no longer available from the "Fun and Downloads" section 
They were originally locked in the previous firmware, so I couldn't back them up 
I have gained one thing: PSP-like menus, as seen in the pre-rlease reviews. My original firmware didn't have this on any of the included themes.
I only just got my phone late last night, so I still have a lot of exploring to do. I'll post back with more details if/when I find any.

I can comfirm fully functional flash themes now for Emerge, Equalizer, and Orbit. There's one little bug, though. On non-flash themes, the top-left Menu icon points to your WAP home page. But on the flash themes, this is replaced a link to the Play Now service.
Which is now more than just a blank page, BTW...
Also, key tones can be phone dial tones in addition to clicks.
The camera has the same settings as before. The viewfinder responsiveness seems improved, at least in room lighting.
On to the
app: Playlist navigation seems a bit faster. Volume level is a tad louder for a given setting. EQ settings are still Bass, MegaBass, Voice, Treble Boost, Normal, and Manual. "Bass" setting is just as strong as before.

One more thing: Screen fonts for the web browser and some Java apps (e.g. the RSS news reader) have been made much finer, so more text fits on the display

Because all W810's should have Play Now enabled to default. Therefore, when they (SE) built the flash themes, they built them using the Play Now icon. Even though Play Now is disabled in your phone, it still shows up in the flash theme.

It's actually R4GC010. Some here have reported that SEUS doesn't have this yet. The shop I sent it to did, though, that's how I got it.
@ Paco: Actually, Play Now works - sort of. I get a very plain page with 5 or so ringtones on it for sale. But again, the non-flash themes don't have this link.

For your convenience, here's a summary of everything I previously posted stream-of-consciously. I've also sent this to the OP so he can update his original post if needed.
The latest F/W version is R4GC010. It looks like this is not yet available from SEUS. I got mine from this shop, as I also needed my APAC languages replaced with America-1 (SEUS can't do this).
I upgraded from R4DB005 - here's what I've found.
Improved
- Emerge, Orbit, Equalizer built-in themes are now flash themes
- above themes have working "Play Now" link
- Key Sound sub-menu choices are "None," "Click," and now "Tone"
- camera responsiveness is slightly improved
- app responsiveness is slightly improved
- web browser and Java apps have finer font, allowing more text to fit on the display
- WAP communication partially fixed - reboots aren't needed as often
Worsened
- power-on start-up takes longer
- network search after power-on takes longer
- service menu is slower
- DaVinci Code themes are gone (v.R4DB005 had 3 of these, locked to the F/W) - also no longer available from site
- possible bug in MP4 video playback - downloadable "Casino Royale" trailer from web site no longer plays correctly on phone (but works on PC, Mac, etc.)
Everything else seems the same - camera picture quality,
sound quality, etc.

i noticed that all the improvements you noticed on the new firmware is already in the R4EA031 firmware which I have in my w810 right now, so i guess there's no such improvements at all...

does wotan have the new firmware? cannot access their site lately.. I just hope they fixed the bass and megabass bug with R4EA031 if you read back when the firmware was release alot of people noticed that there's really not much of a difference if you use bass or megabass...
is the sound for the internal speakers a little bit louder with the new firmware?

i've had that theme since R4EA031 using APAC i believe that would be orbit theme there is also a lighter version of that which is emerge

This is the first time its happened in 6 months of ownership. After disconnecting from the usb cable..
My W810i hard reset on its own. I lost all the games and applications, some of the pictures in phone memory and the worse thing is.. the "internet services" shortcut in the menu doesn't work anymore. it displays: "something is wrong with the page you tried to access. Choose another link"
I can reinstall the software, but does anyone have any idea how to fix the internet services problem?
I can still access the browser through the old shortcuts in the bookmarks section. that means the net access browser is still intact.
How to fix my menu "internet services" problem???

Hi prometheus.
You should try the service center first. If it doesnt work, try what Aremaboy suggested.
I think an upgrade is different from a full flash, as fully flashing a phone is like reinstalling the whole firmware. While an upgrade is only overwriting the old firmware with the new one. Think of the "Fully Flashing" as a fresh installation.

it's been said on wotanserver that i need to know the EROM CID. How do i check for it? There's something indicated on my phone as EROM: R3A005 on software info. is that the CID firmware. also debranding is only possible and not unlocking. What's the difference?

Manage to debrand my w810 through wotanserver. i finally got to get rid of those annoying icons. One last question which may seems ridiculous to you guys but i'm a newbie here. Is wotanserver capable of flashing a dead phone.

I have this same problem. 99% of my AAC library was ripped via iTunes 6.x. My last 3 CDs came through 7.x. After about 30 minutes of AAC-7.x playback, the
app will just start skipping through tracks without playing them. If I stop and manually re-select a track (any track, whether it came from 6.x or 7.x), responds with "Playback failed." If I try to play anything via the File Manager, I get "Cannot play this file." Only a phone reboot clears things up, until the problem reappears.
All this on the new FW R4GC010

Was the K790a really that good? How are the keys? Too hard? How is the lens cover? Is it as floppy as some have said? I know it's a big phone, but how does it feel in your hand, or up against your ear?
Anyway, glad someone picked it up. Hopefully this means the unlocked, unbranded ones will come down in price.

yea. that made me remember, and this is offtopic, last time i was in the US. Most people that I saw are using Motorola, most notably the Razr. lol.

Its a bit risky mate, i havent tried fully flashing my phone using xs++. Better let the service center take care of it. sorry mate.

Strange thing...
I had my W810i replaced under warranty. The replacement, SIM-free direct from
, had version R4CK003 When I updated it via SEUS on the PC, for America-1, the latest version it found is R4EA031.
So I guess R4GC010 is only available in certain markets?
This relative downgrade from R4GC010 to R4EA031 only produced one noticeable change:
volume is slightly lower for a given volume setting.

This is either a bug in R4EA031, or I'm going insane!
If you set a task reminder, the reminder pop-up at the set time will always be @ GMT standard time! It comes up at the correct local set time, but the time indicated in the pop-up is as stated.
For example, I'm at GMT-7 DST. If I set a reminder at 5:30 PM local time, the reminder pop-up appears and sounds at 5:30 PM local time. But the time indicated in the pop-up will be 11:30 PM (+7 hours for GMT, -1 hour for no DST).
This occurs if I set everything manually (time, date, DST, time zone), or let the phone set itself automatically.
Also, if I manually set the phone's time a GMT standard time, the reminder pop-ups indicate the correct (sic) time.
Finally, calendar reminders are unaffected.

Hey, I solved problems with AAC, i just refused from iTunes.
Now, as library I use MediaMonkey, and as AC encoder I use - Nero AAC encoder (freeware)
