I am currently on o2 online £25 a month for 100 mins and 500 texts..12 month contract...

But as many, i am also getting pissed off with o2's contracts now, coz frankly they are getting worse and more expensive...

So when i come to upgrade later this year, i am contemplating moving networks...

Anyone got any tips? Any bargains?

Im looking for around 200 mins 250-500 texts and hopefully a 12 month contract...

Cheers AJ

200mins and 500 texts for £30 with orange and to be fair idf you use your phone a lot they will upgrade ya after 6months (new phone and contract)......

But as usual, phones take olonger to come out on orange and the w900i never even made it - bummer!

Hope you find a deal for you

Don't whatever you do leave o2 after having been with them for a year. You are in a golden position as they bend over backwards to keep customers! so just HAGGLE!

I have two contracts with o2 the ifrst i managed to get 500 X-net/anytime mins & 500 txts for £15 a month with a free K750i about a month after it was released.

For my second they were playing harder but i still managed to get 200 X-net/anytime mins & 500 txts for £14.99 a month and a free W800i the week they were released by o2 (and they were £50 for new customers).

So just phone them and *pretend* you want to cancel your contract. Say you have been offered something like the deals i have mentioned above but say 3 or voda or whoever has offered them to you. 9 times out of 10 they will just offer to match the deal there and then. Give it a go.

Id recommend Tmobile FlexT contract, cheap + loads of free mins/txts...whole other thread in this part of the forum. Im sure u'll find all the info u need there.

whats the best thing to do if you pretend you are cancelling your deal, and then they don't try to keep you? But you reeli don't wanna leave?

well if they don't offer you the deal you want just say right you are going to call the other opperator and then hang up (don't ask for your pac). Then just call back straight away and you will get through to another person at o2 call centre. from my experience it seems to depend how the individual opperator is feeling because when i got my second deal when i first called up they were not offering me anything decent so i hung up on the person and then called back and spoke to someone else who almost straight away gave me the offer i described above!

Arj2442 - watch out for the 18 month contract tie in! Secondly, I just gave a months notice to voda as I`m getting a work phone,

Voda rang with the usual `value your custom` etc., offered 100 xnet + 100 txts on same sim for £4 p.m. (no phone) told them )2 could do better so they upped it to 150 of each same price.

Just means I gotta give this Sim to other half. and its a goldy type No.

Also look at tmobile relax tariffs they are 12 months and are of good value.... if you dont want to be tied down to 18months. They compare against all other networks... I would suggest try to haggle with o2.... I hear they are gud for that sort of thing... so give it a shot.

Hope this helps
Cheers
