Before i get into the story of what happen today al just fill you in to why i hate gamestation..........They refused to serve me a few years ago.
Any way i went in today just to look at what they had, i went over to the dreamcast section and saw they had a buy one get one free offer on selected games. I picked up 2 games, one was £5 the other was £10, i took them to the till and said i wanna pay for the £5 game and want the £10 to be the free game. They refused and said the cheapest game is the one you get free. I argued with them for 10 minuites or so stateing that it doesnt say the cheapest one is free and eventually they caved and said they will put it through for £5. At this point i made it clear i didnt want the games i just wanted to prove a point and i put the cases back on the shelf and casually walked out. lol.

i think what they say is correct. you would obviously be getting the cheaper game free... and i dont think it is good to argue (bargain) with a person for long and not take the item.

i like that!!!! becuase they NEVER said the cheaper game is free. it wasnt there, so that means you get one free. very well done! very funny!

At the end of the day it may well be the cheapest game being free but if doesn't state it then that is false advertising so it has to be given.
But i do agree with govigov, i wouldn't argue about it if i wasn't going to buy it, but hey each to there own.

even though it didn't say it, which is wrong, its always that way everywhere, you always pay for the more expensive one...
anyway 'gamestation's SUCKS...
go, go now to GAME

lol! Last time i saw those stickers(last month) they stated in tiny writing on it that the cheapest item is the free one. Try cash converters for old games, i got f355, sega rally 2, daytona and crazy taxi 1 for 3 quid each!

So you went deliberately into Gamestation to deliberately cause an argument because of something that happened years ago?
Way to prove a point..
GAME and Gamestation are crap for trade-ins but Gamestation is good for cheap prices.
Got quoted £2-£3 on most of my PS2 games so I sold them and tripled what I was going to get.

Gamestation - cheaper prices
GAME - choice maloice yay!
and although i'd say that GAME is 'usually' (not always) more expensive, the quality and condition of their new and 2nd hand games tend to be a lot better. i've accidently bought stratched 'new' games from gamestation, which i did not hesitate to take back swiftly lol. also i've noticed that when you trade in your games, GAME examine the discs closely for perfection (good for 2nd hand buyers), whereas i trade in my games at gamestation since the wallies don't even check for a disc, let alone stratches lol (not that i'd ever scratch a game disc or ever think about trading in a disc-less game box

Although it's false advertising, retailers have 24 hours to rectify the problem. Also a retailer doesn't have to sell the customer anything, they can refuse thier custom.
