People I sent my vertu acsent for an upgrade and they returned it in 10 days.
well the ringtones are great and so are the other functions.
I used an SE and a nokia for these 10days and belive me the sound quality in the VERTU is much much much better than any phone I have used.I thought that there was some kind of defect in the other phone ha ha.
well just thought I would share this........no biting back guys each to his own

What kind of upgrade did you get? I just my bought ascent less than a month ago. I was after the motorsport edition, which apparently is completely sold out. It was either the brown or blakc edition, and I decided to get the blakc, mainly due to the black background instead of the white.
Anyways,
what was upgraded? Are your ringtones, sandpiper, dance, mesmerise, etc...or do you have new ones?

hi well i got my phone when it first came out so I got the new engine upgrade costed me 500 streling pounds approx.yes I have the same ringtones as you mentioned.

Even if I were rich, I don't think I could justify £500 for an upgrade, but if you want it then why not, as mentioned in the first post.. "each to their own"
I feel I have everything I need on my K-Jam, and for looks, I still prefer Nokias 8800 to their higher class Vertu.
Although I do like the build quality and their classy looks, I still think they are slightly on the large side and the shape is still quite old fashioned.

well is more of a hardware upgrade as well as the add bluetooth,gprs,mms and a few more things and also more memory.
the support is top class though.

well congrats, I was told the upgrades would be free though!!!
BTW, I still use my K-Jam as a business phone, although it will be replaced tomorrow by the 9300i commy, until the P990i comes out. So I'm a phone freak, but my private line will always handled by my vertu...that phone will never be replaced...here is the list of phones I've used in the past 2 years
SE T630, K750, S700i, P910i, P900, W900
Moto v3, v3i, v80, v600
Nokia N70, N90, 6680, 6630, 6600, 7700, 7600, 8800
Siemens SX1 S55 SL55
so I do love cameraphones, smartphones, and every gadget you can imagine on a phone...but trust me, nothing comes close to holding a vertu and making or receiving a call....the tones coming out of those yamahas on each side are different, the voice clarity and volume is 1st class, and the feel of the liquidmetal and leather is amazing. I am hesitant to whip out in front of people, as it always starts a conversation I don't like getting into.
Anyways, to each his own....

yes I do have pic and if you look up I have posted them before.Its true after the vertu I cant you any other phone all seem to be shit and crap.Hate the light plastic feel.I am gonna get engaged this yr and gonna get a pink one for my to be.

Having spoken to Vertu UK, basic software upgrades are free, they charge if you have a hardware change, i.e. addition of bluetooth etc...

Alot of money to do this but I guess it reasonable for them to charge. I mean when other models of phone came out that had bluetooth in them compared to older models people were expected to buy a whole new phone!
