The clocks go forward 1 hour next weekend in Northern hemisphere countries that observe summer time, and backwards 1 hour in Southern hemisephere countries that observe it.
The (americanised) easy rule for remember the clock movement direction is Spring FORWARD and Fall BACK, so as its Spring in UK the clocks go forward next week meaning a loss of 1 hours sleep
btw, for those in Australian states that observe daylight savings... normally the clocks would go back next weekend but due to the Commonwealth games this has been delayed a week and so will happen on the first weekend of April. The first weekend of April is also the Australian Grand Prix weekend but I guess thats not as important as the Commonwealth games!
For me, this means I have to change clocks/watches next weekend here as I'll be in UK and then again the following weekend as I'll be home in Oz!
There is even a microsoft windows update and KB article for the revised time change date in Australia!

The change to BST means UK mothers get one hour less to enjoy Mothers' Day!
Outrageous.
