also is this the reason why it says invalid mobile when i place the current sim in (i.e the sim of network which it is currently opened on )

Hi! It is a way to unlock the phone, but then you have to go to an servicecenter. They can unlock the phone for a small coast! I'm am working with repairing mobilephones so i know!

I am curious as to why there is not some piece of softwrre that you can just enter yout imei number into and it will give you an unlock code to enter into the personalize menu to unlock the provider sim.... just a thought
