k750i pc software saying phone not connected?

Hi i recently got a SE K750i and i install the modem driver from the cd along with the software on the pc and when i pen the software it says i havent got a mobile phone connect.

I know the phone is connect and the driver is installed and windows recognizes the phone when i connect it.

anyone else get this problem and know how to solve it?

ok weird i have found out that i need to keep a constant force on the data cable for it to work, weird.

After getting "Phone not connected" try to run "Synchronize" software. Then see if the phone has connected. I had the same problem and this is the only way i have found to solve this problem.

I get this sometimes - I think it's a poor contact on the phone connector. On a number of occasions, I've used/moved the phone about when connected and the contact has failed, or it hasn't recognised it when I've connected it - need to pull out the connector and try again.

IF the problem with contacts, so you can do following. Disconnect the USB cable and just clean contact pins with alcohol. The same is about the handset. Turn it off, pull out the battery and clean the contact pads of Fastport with alcohol. Let it dry first before turning on the unit/cable again. This will solve poor contact issue.
