Hey all,
Just wanted to know from you guys (and gals)...who here actually uses MMS? No-one that I know of do and neither do I. Ever since i got my first phone which was MMS enabled around 3 years ago, i have probably only sent 2 MMS messages, bith of which were just to test out my settings....
Would like to hear some views on this

Its very rare that I send MMS.
The guys at work use it a lot as it lets them send pictures from the site where they are working back to the office to see the progress.

I've probably sent about a dozen or so MMS's in the last 3 years! Nice feature to have handy, but not really found much use of it yet....
....though my girlfriend has found a use!

This fone feature has been a LOT of help to me through the years most specially when my Aunt died of Cancer last July of 2004. Almost half of my relatives now lives in the US (CA), and with the use of my K700i back then, I manage to send a real-time 'progress' report about her condition in the hospital with her siblings abroad, I really don't have time to take images with my digicam and transfer it to my PC then send . . . it will surely be time-consuming, time is of the essence here . . . I was sending pics with text attached almost every after 4-5 hours (she only lasted 3 days in the hsopital). When my Aunts and Uncles came after day 4 (they did not able to see her breath her last), they praised me for the effort I did. I do still remember my Uncle told me: "Jojo, you made a good news update " and I replied: "Anything for Aunt, also to test my new
K700i's cam feature" . . . as my Uncle was very much pleased about the emails I sent them, he even gave some money for it.

Mall time . . . CAM-SHOOT time . . . whoooopeeee

i use mms more than sms, even if is just for text because since it was launched in my operator about 2 years ago, it have been free. I only use sms when i want to contac somebody who use another operator
sorry for my bad english

I have used it fairly regularly, but mainly to get information back to tech crews quickly.
However lots of my girlfriends use it all the time when out at the weekends

MMS is of a BIG use here at my end. I do remember some of my friends using that feature when transacting their buy-and-sell business. If the buyer wanted to SEE how the item being sold looks like, their MMS capable phones are there ready to shoot (images) and SEND! Although there are some 'small' items that needs to be magnified thoroughly for small scratches, say, like when selling mobile fones or swiss-made watches at that.

I was a big MMS fan till last year. (Because it was free!)
Now to me, it seems a total waste of money...
I mean why do i need MMS when i have full gprs!

@temp - Yeah mate! I remember one time when I had this old friend of mine who now lives in Australia who made a request if I can send some pics of the nice Mall we frequent then . . . Good thing that I was scheduled to visit the said place. Using still my K700i then, I took some shots of the mall's interior (started off with the exterior one), Restos we frequent and shops too. My friend was so elated when he saw those sites, just reminds her of good old memories . . . almost made her . . .

seems a useful feature, although i have yet to use one. it seemed to be unsuccessful because of alternative wireless transfers (bluetooth, infrared)

Instead of using the PC/Laptop for email messages (with images attached), I opted (at times) use this one (MMS), specially when I am mobile or in transit.

MMS is easier to reply or send when driving a car. I send a voicerecord very simply with z1010. My operator often gives it without charge when Sms payes 8 cents.

Used mms in lieu of email till about a year ago when it was free. Once i recorded a song sung by some friends and mmsed it to their emails from my t230. They were over the moon for that.
But now, mms is charged at rs5/msg. To make it worse, the bloody nokia firmware limits the size of the mms to 100kb, which makes it pointless to send mp images that are scaled down to 640x480

well I also used MMS a couple of times with my old T226, that was to send my pics taken with the camera to my email. but since I bought T630 I've not much need because I have bluetooth

I hardly use it. Like a few others have mentioned, I did send one or two odd MMSs... to help a pal troubleshoot his phone, or everytime I change phones (just to be sure it works right). But honestly, I have always seen it as a feature that will always trail way behind WAP, Web, and email on mobile phones. Most people I know here hardly use MMS too.

I use it ocasionally and it's quite usefull when sending pics or sounds on the fly.

agreed with majority...rarely use mms, only very occasionaly, i normally find that if i need to send a picture to someone, im more than likely going to be within bluetooth distance within the next 2 days or so , and therefor enever need to physically send the data via mms.
