When? Is it when everything is considered allright,stable or when the phone's life cycle is over?Say,for instance,will there still be a new f/w for T610,T630,K700 or even K750 as the fresh from the oven P990,W810,M600,K610 are released? I think SE would rather develop the newest phones f/w than the old ones. Maybe,no more K750 f/w anymore..so?

How do we know if there is a new firmware, without trying to run the update?

I think the is some life span and they also consider the bugs on the latest firmware.

Anyway we need someone who knows, no think like me.

Firmware support seems to stop when SE produces a replacement phone. We havent really seen any new firmware for the K700i since the release of the K750i. As the K750i replacement is due soon I would have thought that we are only due one more update at the most.

I guess if the phone performs at an acceptable level without major bugs SE will stop making new FW releases for that. And also as jcwhite_uk said once a replacement comes SE will focus mostly on that. It hasn't even been 6 months since I bought my K750; and it is about to become out of date

You can always visit the software board of Esato, there will be enough threads if there is a new firmware out .

@optiplex

So without Esato, does SE have some kind of notification or ? 'Cos on their website they just offer the update software they don't say anything about the latest FWs.

Took my T39m to an SE Service Centre and got a nasty suprise when they said it would be nigh impossible to update the firmware.
