i bloody hate royal mail
why is it they cant deliver to me on time?????
and if they dont they make up some excuse and say that no - one was in
today i was meant to receive a v3x from mutleyboy and i got the tracking number
tracked it at 11 and it said they attempted delivery at 10: 25 and left a card which is complete bullsh*t because i was waiting for it at that time and no1 knocked on the door. it also says they left a card which isnt true because there isnt one here.
so i decide to phone em up and make a complaint - the woman takes my details, she says she will make some enquiries and phone me back which she stil hasnt done after 3 hours.
so i phone em up again and now they say i refused the package at 10 25 when they tried to deliver. how could i have refused something that never came!!!!!!!!!! IDIOTS
and now i have to go to their sorting office and collect it which is gonna be another big waste of time!!
ARGHHHH!!

Yes they are shite. Someone needs to start a new "royal mail" service.

let me get this straight, You gonna be bitching about somthing everyday??
Posted by Ridahz
Very Correct!! They are a load of shite and so is there delivery. If i miss a parcel i have to walk 40mins to get it!!

@solidsingh - If the parcel will STILL be delivered at your doorsteps any day from now . . . you are still lucky dude . . . compared at my end. Having it transported via DHL/UPS sure is very expensive . . . that's why we just have to opt with this kind of gov't service

they wont deliver it - i have to collect it because i apparently refused it

achually it sounds more like ur postman rather then the rm, but I agree they are shite, my postman is awsome a real nice guy, but the rm do not deliver the kind of service we expect, sometimes i get my post at 3pm!

royal mail are great ok
Posted by solidsingh
they wont re del - because apparently they attempted delivery and i refused to take the parcel, which is impossible because i was at home all morning and no1 came and there was no1 else in my house to answer the door
Posted by *Jojo*
@solid- You think they really went to your place
Posted by solidsingh
they 100% didnt come because there is no card left
Posted by brownlad007
Maybe they seen your net curtain move and fort u couldnt b arsed 2 go 2 front door
Posted by *Jojo*
. . . . or perhaps, someone 'else' took the card from your mailbox or what have you

royal mail are ok exept when someone sends something signed (recorded) to me and i wait for the postman thinking i have to sign it but he shuvs it through the letter box and just peels off the sticker... now thats a waste of time

You know what is a waste of time? Having something sent to you like 3 weeks ago recorded and not recieving it yet.

Royal Mail are indeed shite. Following the deregulation of the postal sector, a number of companies I deal with are using Deutsche Post here in the UK. They only do business mailing (afaik), but they are so good it is unbelievable. I think RM need to pull themselves together, their competency level is ludicrous - nothing works with them across the board, be it registered delivery, or just plain old "1st class" mail (note the inverted commas on 1st class, as there is patently nothing 1st class about that particular service).
One of my colleagues actually performed quite an interesting experiment. He mailed 10 letters to himself at the office (1st class). The office is in the City, and the letters were posted from letterboxes around the City and West End. 5 of them turned up the next day as should be expected, 2 arrived the following day, 1 arrived four days later, and the last two seem to be M.I.A. as they have not yet arrived (and he posted them before Christmas last year!).

I was speaking to the postman who collects our post from the office and he said sending post via recorded delivery is a waste of money (no better than first class standard).
Apparently recorded letters travel with first class standard mail and many postmen just post the letter as there are no records kept of the signature.
If your sending something valued over £30 send it via special delivery, as you can only claim compensation up to £29 from recorded and 1st class post.

They are terrible, you can see what i've got to say about couriers here:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=76192
Yesterday morning, i was brushing my teeth and one of them cards was put through my door, saying "parcels too big for your letterbox" or something. So i quickly finished, and ran out to get the postie, when i asked him for the parcel he said "Got any photographic I.D. mate?" I was standing in the main street in my flipping boxers! Raging, i'm telling ya. He just put the card through my door - without knocking - and hes asking for I.D....jobsworth. His arrogant belligerence now means i'm going to need to take a half day off my work to collect a stinking £15 ps2 game...they won't deliver it to my work, or the main post office as "its a different postcode, we cant do that" and my local sub-office where its sitting is only open monday-friday, with a half day on a wednesday.
