I like the brushed theme of mac, however I want to induce the mac icons on the default screen when in FO mode. Could anyone good soul here guide me how to go about it.

When you download themes.. choose save as, then change name so it ends on nameexample.utz

skrutett, put the theme in any folder e.g. others in your memory card. Once you do that simply browse to that folder using file manager and click on the theme file, and when the preview opens click 'install' to install the theme.

But some users posted showing themes with icons changed too i saw it on some sites. I was wandering if i could do so and the mac os X theme with mac icons would look nice

are you sure the posts you've seen weren't the M600 ??
i beleive (someone correct me if i'm wrong) that the M600 activity bar icons can be edited, but unfortunately this is not the case for the P990.

Note I want the UTZ file so that I can do some editing with the Theme Creator.
I have managed to find that theme from SE site but that just install the theme in the phone. I would like to have the UTZ file.
or is it possible to copy out the circles.UTZ file from the phone?

I love the look of the themes, some of you must have spent hours getting them right. I spent an afternoon at work playing with the software and I'm ashamed to say I was useless!!!
Can you tell me how you managed to get a picture of your phones onto the interenet or is that a copy of the theme software?

are u talking about the theme preview?? if so ,, use the theme creator to preview the themes then use any Screenprint program to capture the screen for u
Or
if u want to capture random screenshot from your phone and save them as images you can use Autocam

I tried this question in the Themes-section, but no response. So I'm trying it here, if some of you Themes-gurus can help. Here comes:
Trying to make some Themes for my P990, but I've run into some problems. A lot of textboxes in Opera got a black background, and the text is also black, so it's hard to see what I write. The search-textbox on www.google.com is black, and so is a lot of other textboxes on different web-sites.
Does anyone know what picture in the theme that is used for this background? I'm having a hard time finding the correct picture, so I'll appreciate any help!

I've checked out all images in the misc-section, but it didn't help. I've also tried out every other black image, so I've no ideas left. Guess I'll just wait and see if a new version of the Theme Creator can solve the problem. I also noticed that the textcolor of drop-down listboxes always is black, and I can't find any place to change it. I've got no black text whatsoever in my Theme, but this text is always black. This dropdown-listbox is found multiple places on the phone, for example where you choose Authentication in the WLAN-setup. In the included themes this text is white, but if you take one of the default themes and just changes the wallpaper, nothing else, this textcolor will change to black... Frustrating...

Guys, we all know the best free P990/M600/w950 thems come from http://www.se-uiq.com theme makers
Unfortunately, most of them were made for M600, so we P990 users had shortage of great themes for our machines
But, has i was told M600 themes were very simple to adapt to P990 format, i took the job of adapting most of se-uiq.com M600 themes to make them P990 ready
And now Darkslayer is posting them here

What is your problem ? you have .zip or .utz after the download ? rename .zip to .utz, send .utz file on you P990 and it work

May I know what has been improved on v1.1 of Smileys theme? I've been using 1.0 for the past couple of days but it is already awesome Also, the M600i version does have a slight glitch cos I cannot find the "cancel" tap on the screen.
Oh, btw, as far as we understand, UIQ 3 devices supports tiny svg, hence in theory all 3 devices should also support animated themes compiled with Tiny SVG animation as background wallpapers right? Or am I missing anything? Can you advise? Thanks a million in advanced.

So the 1.1 version of smiley theme has fixed the horizontal scrollbar problem with Opera and has adjusted some pixels
but the final version arrive, the 1.2 ! already available on M600 (here ! and this final version fix the problem with backgrounds passwords, for more legibility ! and next that's all the theme will be perfect lol
About animation on background wallpapers I will try because on P990 I never tried
